Valley of the Moon Golf Club

I've played this course weekly for years until Oakmont discontinued their frequent player cards about 2 or 3 yeas ago. So when they discontinued that deal I play there every couple months or so. The course is in the worst shape I have ever seen in my 25 years of playing there. Top prices for a substandard course. Stay away. I wont be back until the winter.

An enjoyable course that is in decent condition (although some fairway maintenance is in order).

Poor condition prevail thought the course. The $32.00 GolfNow charge is not worth it!!!

Love playing this course. Fairways are a bit full of fungus but it's mid summer and you'd expect it not to be great, greens good not great. People here are enjoyable to talk to and be around. See ya next time!

Oakmont West has a good course layout and is very playable. The big issues are the fairways and greens are in poor condition. They need to get these issues resolved to make this a $50.00 a round course.

Would've like to know that the greens had been plugged recently. Played for $30 with a cart at 4:48PM. Finished by 8:10. I love that.!!

this is always one of my favorite courses in Sonoma County. Well maintained and challenging, yet fair. no tricks like the newer courses..if you like fun golf at a great location, this is it.

I play this course pretty often and I have seen it in better shape. Greens are in good shape but many areas on the fairways were not in good shape at all. Also very odd that sometimes the carts have GPS and sometimes they don't??

Nice mountain surroundings, friendly folks, good fairways, great quality greens. This course would be easy, but the tabletop-like greens make it tough to hold the green in regulation. After that, they roll very true. Tis a fine course!

course is in great shape. only one thing i would like to add is that person signed me in for round of golf did not know cart was part of the price until i mentioned it, GolfNow.com needs to figure out way to let the course you are playing know if cart is part of the booking for the round of golf or not. other then that great servie

I forgot my windbreaker in the cart, called and the very friendly guy ( I think his name was Eli ) said he would look into it, I called the next day and he had it behind the counter for me ! GREAT PLACE ! ! !

It is a nice track, some very challenging tee boxes and approach shots. Greens were in great shape and rolled true.

Greens are recovering from being punched but they are rolling pretty true. There are some dry patches here and there but the track is in pretty good shape.

Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers well maintained. Carts fully charged, which doesn't seem like a big deal ( Played Windsor a few weeks ago, and had the cart die on #9, and the replacement died on #10; major hassle!)

Only knock, and I can't fully fault Oakmont for it, weather not being within their control: the greens were bumpy. Not horrendous, but enough to affect roll.

Very nice layout, with challenging greens. and very friendly staff.

I like the course and have played it before and will again.

Great Day overall. The foursome ahead of us had two speeds....Slow and Slower. A marshal would be nice on the Course.

I like this course and with a little effort to find a deal the value is hard to beat. Pretty views of the surrounding hills, enough course features, course is always in at least decent shape, and never an unreasonably slow pace of play. Pro shop use to have a friendly, easy going vibe but over the last few years it seems like the bean counters have taken control. Who want to feel like you're dealing with the police to have your wife spectate or deal with your forth running late? Good news is the bar tender Matt makes up for many of these short coming and keeps this course as one my regulars.

The course was in very good shape. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was that my cart ran out of juice. I had to call the pro shop to bring me out another cart. It took about two holes for them to get to me. Otherwise, great day of golfing except for my game. Not their fault.
