About
Ocean City Golf Club offers two championship courses: Newport Bay and Seaside. Opened in 1959, the Seaside Course is the club's original layout and since opening it has remained an Eastern shore favorite. It has a more traditional design than the other course, which underwent a renovation and rebuild. Seaside offers classic greens tightly lined with bunkers that are balanced with wide-open, player-friendly fairways. It is a challenging but playable test that is popular amongst locals. Five sets of tees make it even more approachable. The views of the marshes and bay, as well as the trees, give the course the feel of one in the Carolinas. In addition to the two courses, Ocean City Golf Club also offers a driving range and putting green before teeing off.

Pretty nice course
Course was in great condition and staff was helpful. I don't remember a lot of variety from hole to hole on the Seaside course... It seems like the more popular course is the Newport Bay which I would probably play next time (I was afraid I would lose too many balls in the water -still working on fixing my hook *-). It would have been nice to have a layout of the holes at the teebox or on the scorecards tho. Got a great rate from GolfNow.
A nice day
Traditional course - need to be straight, but not extremely tight. Greens putted true, tough if not below hole, forget it if chipping from long to the green. Efficient staff, nice xhipping green and trap.
Ocean City Seaside
Great price for 4 golfers on a late Saturday morning with the course in very good conditions. The greens were in very good soft conditions with green fairways along with freshly cut roughs.
Highly recommended.
This course was great
The course was in great shape and the people were great
Seaside sees the sea one time...
Easy layout, nothing too challenging. Course was in great shape, but was expecting a bit more of a scenic layout.
The Newport Bay course looked like the one to play. Felt dooped choosing seaside assuming it would be a bite scenic.
Would go back here to play the bay course without hesitation.
We'll be back!
3 friends and I played the course on a hot day but the cool breeze made it a perfect day. Course is challenging but we enjoyed the challenge . Everyone was courteous., nice variety on the menu and each of us thought we made the best choice.
We will return!
Great value golf near Ocean City Maryland
This is one of my favorite courses to play when I visit Ocean City.
Seaside at Ocean City Golf Club
Every time I play this course I am am reminded of how much I enjoy the layout. Traditional with very little water coming into play. Wood lined fairways, but always seems to have open areas on at least one side of the fairway. Many doglegs in both directions challenge you to manage your game, but also give you the opportunity to cut the corners is you have the guts. Beware of some false fronts and greens that slope back to the fairways. Greens were the best conditioned I have seen in some time and you could hardly tell that anyone had been playing on the course. I must confess that I play this course or their sister course ( Newport Bay) at least once a summer every year because of the low price. Once I start my round I realize that I keep coming back more for the scenery and the conditions. I play all of the Ocean City courses each June and August when we vacation, but the value of this course stands alone. There are others with majestic views and other top shelf ammenities, but the staff is friendly, the price is right, and the conditions were excellent. It was especially nice for my 17 yr old son ( celebrating his birthday) and I as we both shot our lowest rounds ever. We will be back, keep up the great work. Would also recommend you play Newport Bay as we did 2 days prior, very different layout and more water hazards.
Great Deal in OC
We had a perfect day for golf. Two of us got paired up with another two. We all played well, pro shop had everything we needed. Beer girl always seemed timely and they had food service outside at the turn which made getting a bite to eat real quick. We are locals here, but in the tourist town it is, even the locals price wasn't this good.
Beautiful course but need a couple additions
Amazing greens, great tees and fairways, very open course. The two things I would like to see changed are to add water coolers, there wasn't one water cooler on the whole course. Also a description of the hole at the tee box or on the score card would be nice, playing blind most of the day was a bit frustrating when you would land in a hidden bunker or pond.
Ocean City Golf Club - Seaside course.
Course was well groomed and well marked. Even though I played as a single, I enjoyed the course and the surrounding. Seaside is an old style course with lots of trees. The greens were firm and the sand in the bunkers were fluffy and easy to get out of.
The attendants were hospitable and very helpful. Overall, I had a nice time and thought the price on Golfnow.com was very fair.
Solid Course
Solid, classic, mature course from the 50's. It was uncrowded and the pace of play was fantastic. They got me on by myself and I powered through a round in 3 hours. Totally worth it if you can get a good deal >$50. A good alternative to the much pricier Rum Pointe up the street.
The white tees at this course are very short.
Ocean City Golf Club
At $35 bucks this was a steal. The partner I was paired with said he had been a member for 30 years, and they pay $22 just for the cart. Only minor complaint was that the holes are not very diverse. Other than length, each hole looks and feels identical to the last. It is convenient that the ninth hole ends at the club house if you want to run in and grab a Gatorade or sandwich before the back 9. The clubhouse looks pretty dated as well, but this IS the oldest golf club in Ocean City, MD. Overall good golf value, and fun experience, but I doubt I would play again if it was at full price. Keep an eye out for the 50%+ discounts!
For the price well worth it.
I played with some new people to the golf world. We all played at a great pace. The course was in very good shape. Next time I will play the Newport Bay course.
First Time on Course
Our wives played with us today and we went out on Seaside. We were essentially on the course by ourselves so the wives felt comfortable not being pushed. The course was in great shape, flat without much bunkers or water to keep us from just hitting straight. The greens were hard and fast, and it took about 16 holes to get used to them.
Everyone said they would come back anytime to play, as it was very comfortable for their skill level.
Rough was cut low and wooded areas were kept clean so that you could easily find your ball. A big plus for us.
Good deal, but course too jammed
The holes are too close together and you always have someone in your fairway from another hole, the greens can use some work, overall descent for the deal I got on golfnow
Outstanding "mid-level" course
Open fairways, few hazards, hard to lose a ball (although I did). Almost all holes either straight-on or moderate doglegs. Course in really good condition - greens/traps extremely well-maintained. Great lunch. Staff very friendly. Probably not for low handicap golfers looking for real challenge.
