Ocean City Golf Club - Newport Bay
About
Ocean City Golf Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf. The Seaside Course opened in 1959 and it was later joined by the Newport Bay Course. Both offer scenic views of the surrounding marshes and bay. Newport Bay is a formidable challenge but it will test your ability to think strategically, not your distance. Strategically placed bunkers come into play and the subtle contours of the landscape were utilized to their full extent. The course is a formidable test but it is player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. The golf course also touts some of the most scenic views on the Mid-Atlantic coast, although the surroundings are more Carolinian in feel. Both of Ocean City's courses offer something different. Seaside has a more traditional design but both offer plenty of variety.

Newport Bay is One of the Best in the OC Area
Lots of challenging interesting holes that make you think about each shot. The surrounding marsh land is beautiful - Great views of wildlife abound.
Play it - you'll like it!
Good Solid Course with pretty back 9
Everything was very good with the golf course, nothing unbelievable just v solid tee to green. Also great people working there and great amenities that you can use inside
Newport Bay
Well designed course, with combination of tree-lined holes through number 10 and scenic views of water and bay on last 8 holes. The wind blew about 25-35 mph through most of the round, which became a significant factor on the back side. However, course conditions were excellent and staff was very friendly. I’ve only played the course twice but will definitely consider doing so again when on vacation in the Ocean City, MD area.
A good time that took too long
This course has a great variety of shots that require some thought. Set along the ponds and creeks adjoining Newport Bay, the environment is unrivaled.
I played with Mark and John (members) and John’s friend Stephen - the Members were a great asset to the club and I thoroughly enjoyed this foursome. Unfortunately, the pace of the group ahead often kept us waiting, and the Saturday AM round took nearly 5 hours, which was the only knock in an otherwise great experience. I look forward to playing here again.
Great shape
Course was in great shape and pace of play was around 4 hours. We will be back!
Nice Course
Loved the course, very challenging and fast greens. I had lots of birdie attempts that ended up being bogeys. Gotta work on my putting.
Greens were excellent. Great speed but had difficulty reading. Would absolutely play again. Even though it was crowded for a 1.56 tee time, pace of play was just ok.
Great shape
7:30 tee time and the pace of play was outstanding. Four hours flat. The course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly! We will be back!
OC Newport
Played on a Monday behind a shotgun tournament at 2 PM. We were first off after they were done and finished in 3 1/2 hours . Definitely not the norm but worked out great. Course is very challenging with multiple tees and many shots where position is important. Trees on the front and open on the back with lots of bay views and water/ marshland. Green and bunkers were excellent and the facility is very nice .
Great course
One of the best courses in the area, very challenging. Highly recommend. Scenery is incredible
Very Nice course.
Nothing but good things to say. Tee times were slightly backed up, but staff communication was excellent. Nice practice area to fill in the time. Definitely will play again.a
First nine: boring. Second nine: Wow!
The first nine is relatively short, boring and somewhat dangerous. You play back and forth from one hole to the next. Nothing interesting, really (and, for the record, I shot +1, so this review does not result from poor play on my part). The second nine is a different story. Beautiful holes designed in and around the marsh. We will go back to play this nine holes. Very challenging , but still playable.
