Ocean City Golf Club - Newport Bay

Forgiving on some holes. Managing the clubs for various marshes & water on others. Played by myself and was waved through by 3 groups finished in 3 hours. Nice & flat and scenic water holes.

Unlike similar courses which offer spectacular golf holes adjoining beautiful wetlands, Newport Bay also gives the golfer value. On a newer course (ie- Lighthouse Sound, Bayside) you can expect to pay 4-5 times as much for an equally enjoyable round of golf with breathtaking vistas. The only negative I have is that there are really no hole layouts (also no GPS) to give you an idea of how to approach the hole and avoid trouble, many times which cannot be seen. That would help any player who does not familiarity with Newport Bay. Don't miss Newport Bay on your next golfing opportunity in Ocean City!

Beautiful course and challenging. Flys were terrible when near the marshy areas, but thoroughly enjoyed the round.

Paired up with part with a larger group. Corse was in good shape for this time of year.. Ranger had to push group ahead of us a couple of times. ,

This course was very nice, challenging if your a beginner. Definitely recommend this course to others. However, they need water coolers on more holes as well as maps of the holes. But using golfnow made this easy and the "hot deal" was fantastic. Would golf again! Won't be disappointed.

The course is called Seaside but it doesn't really offer much of a seaside feel or view. The course is tree lined most of the way but is wide enough for driver. If this is a vacation trip to Ocean City there are many courses that are better. If you are a local or a twosome out for a relaxing 18 go for it but pay attention to the price. It is worth paying almost double for the top course. If you can find for under $40 go for it but it will not be that memorable of a day. I have played over 100 courses and keep ratings at home. This was not one of the best nor was it one of the worst. I enjoyed River Run more and it is about the same price.

Great Course, Staff was extremely Friendly. The Premier Course Newport bay had been Aerated last week, offered us that course at the same rate because the other 18 (seaside) was jammed. Greens were in great shape especially considering that they were aerated a week before.
If I had to be critical there about 4 holes where the mosquitos and horse flies were unbearable. I recommend bug spray.
Great Overall Experience.

The course was in very good condition and the layout, though somewhat open, offered sufficient challenge to most player levels. I played the Newport Bay course and it was very scenic with several holes featuring water and marsh views. Some wind on the water-oriented holes. Smallish greens with some topography. Moderate rough and some trees that restrict green access for those not familiar with the dogleg holes. Beware! I traveled from the Bethany Beach area in the AM and it took close to an hour to get there. Overall I thought it was worth the trip and I will be back.

This is the 3rd time that happened to me (three diferent courses). When they realize that I have booked trough GolfNow, the service go down, they treat you as a welfare recepient. They told me that they don't make any money when I use GolfNow.

A must play course. Have played this course 4 times and have never been disappointed

The conditions were first class, the entire staff were very helpful and friendly. The pace of play was good and we experianced no waiting the entire round.

Great value price from golf now. Course in excellent condition. Fun layout with lots of scenic holes along the bay.

Very nice course with a great layout. Nice views with the twists and turns of a course you dont play everyday.Great value with the Golfnow discount. Would recommend the course to anyone in the area. We drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there and it was stile worth it

I played both courses at OC Golf Club, the GN Hot Deal rate, and enjoyed them both. The Newport Bay is far more picturesque and a little more challenging. Both courses are well kept, have good practice facilities and friendly staff.

the course was in great condition. the pace of play was extremely slow (3hrs front 9) and no visible marshaling. yardage marking is limited, no gps in carts. not really worth the drive, better courses
in the area.

Played Newport Bay course on a Tuesday morning in 3 hours 45 minutes. Course was in excellent condition. Lots of blind shots, which was unexpected given the flat terrain. The greens were small but with a lot of undulations. Beautiful views from some of the holes. And lots of wind, which is probably to-be-expected, given the exposure on the back nine. I'd play this course again.

I can't say enough about this course except I love it. Everyone on staff is so friendly and polite. The course was challenging yet easily playable for every level. Over all it was a great time and I looking forward to getting back out on this course!
