Ocean City Golf Club - Newport Bay
About
Ocean City Golf Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf. The Seaside Course opened in 1959 and it was later joined by the Newport Bay Course. Both offer scenic views of the surrounding marshes and bay. Newport Bay is a formidable challenge but it will test your ability to think strategically, not your distance. Strategically placed bunkers come into play and the subtle contours of the landscape were utilized to their full extent. The course is a formidable test but it is player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. The golf course also touts some of the most scenic views on the Mid-Atlantic coast, although the surroundings are more Carolinian in feel. Both of Ocean City's courses offer something different. Seaside has a more traditional design but both offer plenty of variety.

Fun course. Challenging
This was my first time playing this course and I thought it was fun and challenging. It was kind of short but had cool features and great scenery. Only one cart girl for both courses so it took a while to get drinks but still a great experience. Will definitely be back to play soon
Average Course and very short.
Overall the course was not bad and was in fair shape. Very basic layout, with barely any challenge to it. Felt as it was an older course that hasn't been upgraded in awhile.
Great course
We only paid 35 to play this course and I can tell you that we should of paid more it was a excellent course some holes are hard but well worth it
Ocean City Newport
Naturally beautiful seaside golf course. Plenty of challenges yet playable . The course is not long but there are plenty of hazards with marsh and bunkers. Some real picturesque views. I played on May 26th and it was windy . This came into play with a lot of exposed holes along the marsh and bay. Did not play that great but loved the course. Rum Point is another great course and it is right down the street.
Great Course, lots of fun
The overall experience was great. Everyone was friendly and the course caters to all experience levels. Try the orange crush from the cart lady it is wonderful!
Scenic beautiful course
The course was beautiful and in great shape. It was very challenging on a number of holes because of the windy conditions.
Great course!
Course layout is fairly straightforward, but as all O.C. courses go, wind can potentially play havoc with your round. As far as April rounds go, the course was in excellent condition and the greens were rolling perfect. Got a good deal on Golf now and the round was well worth the money. Would definitely play again.
dont bother
Greens were nice and that was about it. Awful fairways, tee boxes and $52 for 2 cheeseburgers 2 coffees and 2 beers was awful. It was basically a McDonald's cheeseburger for $9
Great hosts!
Service was outstanding - very friendly. Greens fast and perfect rolls. Manicured fairways and rough, real sand in bunkers. Highlight of our buddy trip this week to OC, Md.
Nice views, good greens...do Not play until mid-May
Nice views along the bay. Do NOT play the course until mid-may. They use Bermuda grass on Newport bay and the grass does not grow until it is warmer. The fairways in mid-April were really bad. The greens were really nice and made up for the bad fairways. The staff is miserable...everyone was angry and they did not have enough carts for all players on the two courses.
Great time and no crowd
Had a wonderful round of golf with no one pushing us or slowing down or pace of play. Greens were a tad slow but otherwise course was in good shape.
Newport Bay
Fun course. Tons of great views and tons of water. The greens were in great shape for how early it is.
great condition
We liked the course a lot.
we would like to return again.
Favorite course
Great fairways, greens, weather, price and staff.
Newport bay the place to play in o.c. Area
Newport Bay
Course was in excellent shape and staff was very friendly. A lot of holes overlook marshland. However, it's not that special to be worth full price, and not sure it's even worth $60 GolfNow rate.
Scenic Marshes
Forgiving on some holes. Managing the clubs for various marshes & water on others. Played by myself and was waved through by 3 groups finished in 3 hours. Nice & flat and scenic water holes.
Newport Bay Ocean City gem!
Unlike similar courses which offer spectacular golf holes adjoining beautiful wetlands, Newport Bay also gives the golfer value. On a newer course (ie- Lighthouse Sound, Bayside) you can expect to pay 4-5 times as much for an equally enjoyable round of golf with breathtaking vistas. The only negative I have is that there are really no hole layouts (also no GPS) to give you an idea of how to approach the hole and avoid trouble, many times which cannot be seen. That would help any player who does not familiarity with Newport Bay. Don't miss Newport Bay on your next golfing opportunity in Ocean City!
Great round
Beautiful course and challenging. Flys were terrible when near the marshy areas, but thoroughly enjoyed the round.
great for the price
the course was in good shape and the sun was shinning
