About
Ocean City Golf Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf. The Seaside Course opened in 1959 and it was later joined by the Newport Bay Course. Both offer scenic views of the surrounding marshes and bay. Newport Bay is a formidable challenge but it will test your ability to think strategically, not your distance. Strategically placed bunkers come into play and the subtle contours of the landscape were utilized to their full extent. The course is a formidable test but it is player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. The golf course also touts some of the most scenic views on the Mid-Atlantic coast, although the surroundings are more Carolinian in feel. Both of Ocean City's courses offer something different. Seaside has a more traditional design but both offer plenty of variety.

OC Newport
Played on a Monday behind a shotgun tournament at 2 PM. We were first off after they were done and finished in 3 1/2 hours . Definitely not the norm but worked out great. Course is very challenging with multiple tees and many shots where position is important. Trees on the front and open on the back with lots of bay views and water/ marshland. Green and bunkers were excellent and the facility is very nice .

Very Nice course.
Nothing but good things to say. Tee times were slightly backed up, but staff communication was excellent. Nice practice area to fill in the time. Definitely will play again.a
First nine: boring. Second nine: Wow!
The first nine is relatively short, boring and somewhat dangerous. You play back and forth from one hole to the next. Nothing interesting, really (and, for the record, I shot +1, so this review does not result from poor play on my part). The second nine is a different story. Beautiful holes designed in and around the marsh. We will go back to play this nine holes. Very challenging , but still playable.
Not worth it for what they charge
Course layout was one of the worse I ever played. When using my watch GPS it did not sure the true nature of the layout of some holes. Course was not in good condition. Ranger was useless when we complained about the 4 some in front of us who were stopping to take pics, walking back and forth from cart to green numerous times have no idea why, Just left a awful taste in our mouths. Will never recomend it or play it again.
Gave up after 4 1/2 hours.
Over booked, no marshals left after 14 holes.
Was the only let down of five courses in the area on our trip to the area. So so course with some really nice scenery which I was really thankful for as I sat over every Drive and approach shot for a minimum of ten minutes.
Great Layout
Played here a few times, the course has a challenging layout with some nice water view’s. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the pace of play was faster then average. The water definitely comes into play on this course. The course was in good shape. I will definitely play this course again.
In great condition, friendly staff
Course in great shape despite recent aeration (well healed already) and severe lack of rain. Pace was awesome for a Saturday in august.
