River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Course is beautiful with a country club vibe..
Fairways & greens lush & in great condition.
Rough was penal but not excessive.
Complimentary balls at range.
Only issue, arrived an hour early, no one teed off during that entire time, but was told I would have to wait until official time tee. Ninety percent of courses I play would have let me out early to expedite the flow of play, but some courses are stringent with golfnow/teetime reservations.
But I would definitely play it again & consider it an
l value at $48!
