About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Pace
Loved the course … one complaint I would have . I think they may of over booked the course . I absolutely loved it other then that. We had great time but lots of hold ups on holes . And they said they even over booked it. It’s a minor thing . To me anyways. I’m on vacation I could careless but 5 hours to play a round is a little long
Nice course!
Played in the afternoon on warm day. Was not crowded and staff was great. Plan to play here again and bring our friends.
Great course
It was in great shape. Friendly people, good pace and good value.
Pros- Free range balls and putting green balls. Course is in great shape. Rangers on the course to move the pace of play.
Cons-There was no "1st cut" on any hole, the ball goes from fairway into fairly deep rough. Tees were way up making the course much shorter than our foursome would like.
Pace of Play
The pace of play was slow - 4 hours 30 minutes. Even though it was just two of us, we had a threesome in front of us and and two some in front of them. We asked the Course Ranger about the pace and he said he asked the two some to speed up play or let groups play thru but they didn't seem to care. The Ranger said there were numerous holes in front of them. The Ranger was extremely nice but the two some was cooperative. Other than that, great day.
Cart path only
Cart path only is a little tough with a bad back. It didn’t seem necessary as the coarse wasn’t wet

Nice place to play
Great course and the gentleman in the pro shop was super friendly! The greens were fast and rolled awesome! Only gripe would be the group of guys working on hole 11 or 12 I cant remember but they were mowing the hole and we waited like 15 minutes for them to finish as they didnt move for us at all! Otherwise great day
The rough was too high it slowed down the pace but overall a beautiful course
