About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Golf at River Run Golf Course
The golf course was in great shape, tee boxes, greens and fairways. The course was very friendly and accommodating. This was my first time playing River Run and I plan to put this on my once a year play list for me and my golf buddies. If you haven't played River Run, I recommend that you do.
A must play from the Blue Tee’s
Great layout course was in pretty good condition greens were very consistent sand was a little firm though. Very challenging from the blue Tee’s especially the par 3’s. Pace of play was great even with a 4 year player in the group. For thFoe price for the price this course is a must play this course is a must play.
Course in Excellent Condition
I played here a year or so ago and I then felt certain they’d have to close the course because it looked like it was in ruins from from perhaps weather and/or some grass disease. However, the grounds superintendent must have worked a miracle as I was pleasantly shocked today, to see the course virtually resurrected to new life.
Fairways are in very good condition and greens are immaculate, fast and rolling true.
For $45 on GolfNow.com it was a steal!

Course was in great shape
Course was in great shape . Speed of play was a little slow but the course was packed
Nice course need to keep the ball straight greens are nice so big greens and some slim and narrow greens. Definitely a good play course.
Reasonably good conditions
Similar to other courses in the area, it was wet and muddy. No roll on tee shots, greens were receptive but very slow.
Would play again
This course is a nice place to play for the average golfer. It has some holes that can be difficult, but it also has holes that you can make shots up on. It demands accuracy so it fits the game of shorter hitters and puts value on a good short game.the greens roll true, although were tricky to read. Overall a really nice place to play and I will be playing there again.
The course is really beat up
I played River Run today. Wonderful staff working the golf course but the course itself is in really tough shape. The fairways are really thin and it seems the rain and heat have done a major number on them this summer.
Greens were decent but a bit slow.
Wonderful Time
Had a great time at River Run. The course layout is very nice and is well maintained. Some of the holes had some damage from recent storms but that is understandable given the quantity and severity of the storms. I'm looking forward to playing here again soon!!
Not up to par
We played this course on a hot deal. When we arrived, the starter said that the front was being aerated and we would have to play the back twice. The course or Golf Now should have notified us of the conditions. We would not have paid $100 to play. The fairways have many bare spots and large patches of dead ground. The greens are okay. One gets the feeling that. It is just getting run down.
Slow
Front 9 closed for aeration but didn’t know ahead of time. Extremely slow pace.
