River Run Golf Course

The course itself was in decent shape, especially considering the GolfNow HotDeals price. Played from Blue and there were several challenging holes that probably were the reason for the relatively high slope (133). Would consider playing there again, especially if we could get a similar price deal. The problem was the amenities. Despite being assured twice that the beverage cart would be out all day and that the Grill at the turn was open, we saw the beverage cart satisfactorily on the front nine, but the grill was locked shut at the turn (which we were counting on for beverages and a bite of lunch) and we never saw the beverage cart again. We did not encounter any chilled water coolers until late in the front nine and once again in the back nine. There were a couple of beverage vending machines, but the one we tried was not working. And this was early afternoon in August. Lesson learned - enjoy the course, especially if you can get a good deal, but DO NOT count on getting any food or drink on the course. Staff friendliness was mixed. The Pro Shop guy was friendly as was the starter, but the elder gentleman at the cart return was rude and unfriendly.

River Run is a great course. Very close to Ocean City with friendly staff and good amenities. Would highly recommend you include this course in your next outing to OC.

Course was in good shape and was a great valve compared to the others that I played during my stay. Greens were a little slow, but expected during the hot August weather. I recommend this course.

Course was in good shape, only complaint would be greens were slow and few bad spots on couple of them.

We purchased through golf now and after playing 9 holes it was lightning so they came to get us obviously cause course had to close. While returning back they said they couldn't offer us a rain check even though we paid at the course. Very dissappointing because we paid for 18 and were only able to golf 9 holes. No compensation what so ever. The girl in the restaurant was super friendly though that was the only plus. They knew it was going to rain and should have stated that first I would have cancelled! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! WON'T GO BACK

Course was nice and relatively in decent shape. Read reviews from last fall and had low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Played "cart path" only round which extended the play time, but not by much. Holes weren't that wide and walking to ball was manageable. Will play here again.

Fun layout. Good for all skill levels. Good value for your money.

Overall I was happy with the course. There were a couple holes to close to houses though specially a par 3 on the back.

One of the friendliest staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Course is always lush and maintained.

We got a great rate thru golfnow that really made it a fantastic value.

This was our final course on our buddies trip. The fairways were the most challenging for me on this course. They are somewhat tight and seemed more narrow due to the way I was playing!! Very scenic and the water hazards made you plan your shots. The weather was not great so that made our pace of play great as I think a lot of groups cancelled. We had a fun time and my score card showed I got my money's worth!!!

Other than a couple of holes here and there, the only challenge to this course was that the fairways were tight and you had to be accurate. The course was in excellent shape and the greens as well, very true. I wouldn't pay full price for this course, I got it at half price online which is why I put a good value for the buck. But would definitely recommend playing it.

I stopped playing this course last summer when they lost several greens. I figured that they had all fall to reseed and recover, so I booked a tee time for April 2. I was wrong. The greens were recently aerated, but the problem is that there is still little vegetation (other than some poa) on many of the greens. Several aprons were sand, so chipping was more exciting than it needed to be.

It's a shame, because this is a fun little layout. I'm going to read the reviews and comments before I book another tee time here. If I start seeing comments that the conditions have improved, I'll come back. Until then, there are a bunch of good layouts in the area that are in excellent condition - I'll stick with them.

I'm pleased with conditions and the weather, all and all turn into a excellent day.
