Good course decent shape no service due to renovation
It is our first time playing this private course that has interesting layout. It has tree-lined fairways that are quite dry and hard, small fast greens with undulations that are rolling true and in great shape, rock-hard bunkers that are borderline unfair to play, inconsistent rough that is generally in okay shape but are not fair in some spots, and quite a few water features although most are not in play. Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape with bold spots. It is an experience playing this old-school style course in an old neighborhood club. The drive range has relatively new balls but there are unmarked for yardage. The club house is in renovation and not accessible; no water anywhere for drink or even washing hands.
Nice value near DC
Played 3.5 hours today. Conditions of course were below average but greens in great shape. Great value for 20 minutes outside DC. Strange layout, with small greens and several narrow fairways.

No Food, no drinks, and Porta-pots
The course is in excellent condition, and it’s also a challenge.
The drawback is that the Clubhouse is closed, with no proShop or amenities to speak of.

The course itself is in excellent condition, but the clubhouse is STILL closed for renovation No pro Shop, no food, no permanent toilets, no cart service, etc.

Great course
First time playing this private course. The greens ere immaculate. Holes were a challenge… a lot of water. Lots of fun to play.

Really enjoyed the time out at National! Great course with some challenging setups and very well kept. Extremely nice staff and very helpful, we felt at home as ‘members for the day’. Will be back, very good experience!

Good value for the money. Some narrow fairways and small greens. Difficult sight lines on some holes if it is your first time playing here. Some tee boxes needed mowing and work. Fairways were decent and greens rolled true.

Great round, friendly staff
Booked for 2 and had a great day. Played in 3 hours just the 2 of us. No one in front or behind on a Sunday at 11:30am. Highly recommend, staff was super friendly.

Great deal
The fairways and greens were in superb condition — much better than 90% of the public courses I've played this year.
The greens were SUPER fast and challenging. I'm definitely going to work on my short game after playing this course. The back nine had some great features, especially the elevated tee box on Hole 17.
Tee boxes were rough but didn't interrupt our game too much.
Overall, a great course and so much bang for your buck. Definitely will be playing here again.

Good course
Nice course and in pretty good condition, however the clubhouse is under construction, so the only bathroom options are portapotty’s and the food options are limited to snacks.
A couple of the tee boxes in the shade were a bit tough, but that is expected for this time of year. Greens rolled fairly true and the bunkers looked better than other reviews I saw led me to expect (some had clearly been refreshed more recently than others)

Well worth it ...
Second time playing and still very nice. However, there is no reason why it should be cart path only when all is dry and no rain the prior 2-3 days.

Good location and price
Good course to play for change of pace. Reno will be worth porcine if admission. Needs a little more work on bunkers and one off spots along the track. Being a walkable course it needs to have water buckets placed on a few holes. Plenty of walkers to justify it.
