Worst staff ever
Absolutely the rides test staff I’ve ever encountered in my life. Besides the kind lady in the shop, the two wanna be rent-a cops who sit out front need to get a grip on their retirement. I will not be coming back ever.

Cart paths only….WHY?
Pace of play was the only real problem. “Cart paths only” was major factor & it seemed totally unnecessary????
Course was very dry! Didn’t step in a puddle all day

Average experience
Staff very friendly...but tee offs, fairways and greens in very bad condition..Probably better in summer..I hope so !

The course, like others in the area, had just been aerated when you played, which explains the conditions you experienced. The course is almost fully healed at this point and should be back to 100% within the next several days. We know that course aeration doesn't provide an ideal playing surface, so we encourage you to give our Robert Trent Jones-designed course another try when you're in the area!
Pass until May
Unfortunately the greens were absolutely unplayable. The aeration process was a disaster. Too much sand in spots other spots none. It was fairly wet. That didn’t help. I would not play on this course for at least another 2 to 3 weeks.

Aeration was followed by rain, which is why some areas had more sand than others. The course is just about back to normal playing conditions at this point, and should be at 100% in just a few days. Ocean Pines is a true challenge. Tight layout with nice greens. Great staff and facilities.

December Golf
Staff was very friendly & helpful when we arrived . Course was in great shape for the 1st week of December. Golf now hot deal gave us a great price and 60 degree weather couldn’t be better.

Tough track for a cold wet and windy day.
Very good layout and price for end of the year round. Only complaints were the wind, leaves and cart path only on my visit. Leaves were blown off fairways on the first 6 holes after that it was difficult to find a well hit tee shot. Would like to play again on a warm calm day when the balls have their normal carry, roll and without a two club wind. This course is a good test from the blues under normal conditions. Putting can be somewhat tricky on few holes due to pin placement and the greens having subtle breaks.

November Golf
Considering it's November course was in great shape. Greens were in great condition are were rolling nice . Starter was very cordial. Played in just over 3 hrs.

Old school, Myrtle Beach layout
Low-Mid 60's temperatures and just a little bit of wind. Course conditions were typical of a muni more than an upscale club. Layout was very good. A lot of long, strong, par fours, mostly tree-lined. Typical RTJ bunkers and use of water hazards. Par fives are easy except for the 4th, a 584-yard hole from the blues. Strong finishing holes on both 9s. Par 3s are fair but similar distances from the blues (184, 188, 168, 185).
It reminded me of old school Myrtle Beach courses, like Possum Trot. The course was packed, so pace of play was slow (4 hr, 35 min).
