A good day
The staff was friendly. The course overall was in good shape. Although the greens were quite slow. The par fives were short and the par threes were very manageable for the average golfer. Will definitely play again on our next trip down
Ocean Pines
Average course, layout kind of similar every hole, tee boxes in rough shape. Staff was great.

Our Robert Trent Jones-designed layout does cuts through the Ocean Pines community's native pines, so there is a similar feel to the holes. We do find it offers a challenging but fair layout. Great round
Course was very nice, great clubhouse restaurant bar.. real grass driving range is always a treat, would definitely return

Great play
Fairways and greens were amazing. Only downside was pace of play was a little slow but it’s a vacation course. Tee time was 1240 and finished around 530.

A nice course and in good shape. You definitely but have some shot placement ability!! Friendly staff and the beers were cold.

Ocean Pines
Friendly staff ,Great layout, Greens and Fairways in good condition rough in poor condition.
Thank you so much for your feedback and for playing Ocean Pines Golf Club. We're so glad you enjoyed your round on our Robert Trent Jones-designed course! Due to some substantial rain, our maintenance crew was unable to complete its normal mowing because it was too wet, which might help explain the condition of the rough when you played. We're in great condition going into the fall, however, and hope that if you're in the area this season you'll stop by for another round!
Superintendent needs to step it up on course improvements
Fairways were found to be inconsistent in grass growth as well as large bare spots across most fairways. Had to lay winter rules in fairway. Greens were aerated and sanded so putting is a challenge. Interesting being so close to the ocean that sand traps were hard and little sand. Excellent driving range and putting green. Management needs to invest in fairway /tee area upgrade to be more enjoyable. A Trent design course is demanding for straight shots down the fairway. So much potential

We do know that there were a couple of hotspots from the end of the summer, but those areas have been addressed and the course is looking great going into the fall. So slow pace of play and the greens
Most of the problem is un cut rough and virtually no trimming around the greens walkways, traps ect

Please know that some heavy rain impacted our ability to mow when you played, which is why some of the areas were not cut as they would be normally. Our maintenance team does do regular trimming, so we hope you'll give us another try. Fall is a great time to golf in Ocean Pines, so please play a round with us soon!
Alright value.
Tee boxes were decent depending on where you were teeing off. Fairways and green are nice. Greens were soft and rolled true. Pace of play, however, was slow. We had to wait a free every shot which was hard to get into the rhythm but overall experience was ok.

Good and bad, some ugly
The course layout is superb, the condition is not good. In fact the worst I've played in Md this summer. I'm a resident (summer months) of Ocean Pines. Extremely disappointed with the condition. I'm an 80 yo vet with a 9 handicap. In fact, you folks at Tee Time might consider a visit; I guarantee your reaction would be similar to mine. In fact I attempted to call at the end of 6 holes, only to find out you have no phone reimbursement policy. It was a waste of money. In fact my son choose not to play the last 7 holes, I did take some pictures. No computer competency.lol

not a bad day
the course was nice. They did not have a cart person out on the course which for a very hot day was not great. Pace of play was good had a good time and course was in good shape.

Unfortunately, we were short-staffed at the end of summer, but have worked to resolve that issue. Bad weather, nice course
The weather certainly didn’t cooperate. Heavy rains in the morning left the course soaking wet. Cart path only makes for a long round. But nothing that Ocean Pines could do about that. The greens and most of the tee boxes were good. As were most of the fairways. A couple however were borderline unplayable. Based on the morning storms and the continual rain, I’m actually surprised the course was open. But we made the best of it. Always enjoy playing Ocean Pines. And the Transfusions made by our bartender Judy after the soggy round were excellent!!
