not a bad day
the course was nice. They did not have a cart person out on the course which for a very hot day was not great. Pace of play was good had a good time and course was in good shape.
Bad weather, nice course
The weather certainly didn’t cooperate. Heavy rains in the morning left the course soaking wet. Cart path only makes for a long round. But nothing that Ocean Pines could do about that. The greens and most of the tee boxes were good. As were most of the fairways. A couple however were borderline unplayable. Based on the morning storms and the continual rain, I’m actually surprised the course was open. But we made the best of it. Always enjoy playing Ocean Pines. And the Transfusions made by our bartender Judy after the soggy round were excellent!!

First time playing on this course. Course was in excellent condition. Very well organized starter. Great price on Golf Now. Will definitely play this course again!

nothing memorable but nothing awful
I replay my round later in the evening in my head...I had trouble remembering this one and no alcohol was involved. The course is just bland. The holes are very similar...Most are tall pines left and right, mostly doglegs left it seemed all with raised greens to help water drainage (so add yardage most holes)..but most greens are raised but flat without too much slope. One STUPID hole with two trees in the middle of the fairway, I guess that's been debated and cursed many times (and yes I birdied it). The condition was fine, greens slow (but it had rained hard night before). The course just needed a "spa day"..could use some cleanup, some color, a few potholes here and there, something more than just green and pine would help...the bunkers were tough, but that's the rain and no raking...the greens were not too bad with divot marks...the range is wide, nice grass tees, and plenty of space, the clubhouse is new and deck/bar are fine (my hotdog was overcooked but a great steamed bun)...there's water on a few holes but nothing awful...most hazards are easy to see..it's flat, would be easy to walk...the challenge is staying out of the trees or being smart and punch out...play to the edges of the doglegs...little advantage to cutting corners....think 3 woods off tees, keep it in play and have fun on this course

Good Value
Friendly staff. Course is decent condition. Greens a little slow with too many ball marks which is typical of a public course. Had been tracking towards a 5 hour round until Group let us play through. Price for early morning start was reasonable for mid summer.

Ocean Pines - such a nice golf course
Just finished up a very enjoyable round at Ocean Pines. Course is in excellent condition. Great layout, friendly staff and excellent amenities. And a great price through Golf Pass!! Will be back soon.

Great Pro Shop Staff
Excellent course! Greens, Fairways all excellent despite a lot of hot weather and limited rain. Staff inside and outside friendly. Needed a grip on a club and they got new one on in just couple days at a reasonable price. Great Service!

Great staff
Pro shop attendant was rude and not very personable

The greens
Who ever is cutting the greens needs to make a pass around the outer edge cause you can see where is dropping the blades and not cutting outer edge

We use this mowing technique when the weather is hot to reduce stress on the edges of the greens. From the time we checked in to the minute we left the staff was fantastic course conditions couldn’t be better. A little rain but what a great day. By the time I got to the 17th hole I was a little tired. It plays longer than it seems. Just love the course! Thank you Ocean Pines
