Ocean Pines Golf Club

The staff at ocean pines has improved 100% over the last two years. The greens were just worked and had punch holes. Still a good roll on ball . Could have quicker service at turn. Fun course to play. Will definitely play it again.

Course was in better shape than the last time I played. Slow play was a problem. It took 11 holes for the marshal to get things moving. For the price it was reasonable. Playable layout but need a better yardage for the ladies between the front 2 tees.

This is a nice course that you'll need a good long game to do well. The holes are tight and tree lined, so errant shots are penalized. The course condition was very good, but the greens wouldn't hold iron shots. We played from off the back of the greens all day from shots that landed in the middle of the greens (or shorter), which was pretty annoying.

The drive up to the course was impressive, and I could see I would have some challenges ahead. Bag Drop staff was friendly and on the spot to set you up. The Pro Shop, on the other hand, was well-felt like I was bothering him.
The Range and Putting Green: the range was very nice and spacious grass range-but pay for range balls at a 'resort area' course??? Can only think of one other in the area that does it. Not a winner. The putting green was huge and did give a preview of the putts you would see on the course, but as always speeds were very different.
The Course: overall very nice. The greens were excellent and rolled very true. Sadly, it didn't look like anyone was working on cleaning up the tee boxes from the day prior even though there were a ton ow grounds crew out. Fairways were good, but I guess few people know how to use the full bottles on the carts. The rough was inconsistent over the course, but where it was growing good it was a job to get out of.
Food: the pub and cart girl were friendly and great. Only downside was the cart girl didn't even get out on the course till 10am.

Ore all a nice layout and course for the price, but you can pay a little more and get a LOT more in the area.

The 18 holes went smooth the staff kept things moving. I will play this course each time I visit the area.

My wife and I enjoyed the the round and it was an overall good experience. The golf carts really are showing their experience...squeaky brakes and taped seats. The Marshall's could use some personality but were good at keeping the pace going. Grabbing a dog at the turn was a challenge but we would play it again, if in the area.

Very nice course, lined with mature trees and many houses. Fairways were in great shape, and although only 7 or 8 holes have water in play, you'll want to be tactical with your approach shots there. I'm not a fan of "Hard-n-Fast" greens and that's what you'll have here. Numerous lofted approach shots to center of green that shot forward and off the green. All in all, the greens did roll out true with some moderate undulation to them. I'd give the course an 7.5 out of 10. Wouldn't pay rack rate, but a twilight or Golf Now deal is worth the trip.

No excuses for playing poorly. Our group played as bad as 4 people possibly could. Though we waited on almost every shot, behind 4 members, who we were told, they were told about their pace of play nothing happened, they were a "death-march". The course was in excellent condition and the greens were never better. We only wish the marshall would have let us play through or speed up the group in front of us.

I've played this course several times over the past three years and I must say it's now in terrific shape. The greens are fast and true and roll beautifully. The fairways are well manicured and add to the challenge of the Robert Trent Jones design. A terrific venue at a reasonable price. Be sure to visit the new Yacht Club only about a mile away.

What a true pleasure to play this course! Tee boxes to challenge any level golfer and greens that roll true and quick. The fairways are terrific and the layout is challenging and picturesque. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the grill afterwards.

Nice course, my wife and I played after 4:30 and got 18 in before cart had to be back at 8:00.

The course was renovated over the last two years and it is in spectacular condition. I haven't played there, until today, for years and the transformation is startling. Tees, fairways and greens were immaculate and I'll play there anytime I get the chance.

Incredible experience. I played this course 7 years ago and it was OK. They have made fabulous improvements, and the course is in excellent condition. I strongly recommend that anyone playing this course go to the new yacht club across from the course. This is a world class facility with fabulous views of the bay and the Ocean City skyline. Trust me, you will not be disappointed by the whole experience.

We had a great experience - beautiful course, challenging layout with most holes tree lined and occasional water. Greens were in fantastic condition. We played 18 holes in 2 3/4 hrs, no wait at a great golf course for under $40 a person including cart. My only quibble would be that the bunkers were a bit uneven, some good, some lacking sand. Staff were super friendly, professional and helpful. Well done!

The course is in great shape. Much better than my game which needs some work. You will have a great time playing this course.

I've avoided this course since they went through some very bad conditions a couple of years ago. I believe they did a complete rebuild of the back 9 greens during Feb/Mar 2013. Finally decided to give it a go this year and found the greens to be top-notch. Drainage on the front 9 seems to have improved as well, but the back 9 still has some problems with soggy areas after some rain the night before.

This course has mature trees lining most holes, which gives a welcome respite from the windy conditions at most other courses in the area. It also means you need to hit it straight here, or keep driver in the bag.

Good course for a windy day, and an excellent value for the price.

Everything about the course was great, fairways and greens were in great shape for mid-April. Only problem was the rain the night before made for cart path only conditions. I played with a friend who has a difficult time walking. We asked for a handicap flag for the cart, and received a curt no for an answer. Then, we must have strayed 6 inches off the path and were scolded by the pro shop staff. Kind of spoiled the round- members and staff seemed very uptight about 'their' course.

Layout of this course is good as one of the great architects left his mark here. Greens were conditioned some time ago, and have not grown back in to the level one would like for play. Would like to see how it looks in another month of growth.
