Located a short distance from the Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's airport, Hunter's Creek Golf Course offered a challenging game. It was the longest golf course in Florida and has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S. The course winded through stately pines and thirteen lakes. The spacious, rolling fairways and expansive, undulating greens presented interesting challenges on the course. There were also many strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that come into play on almost every hole.

Very enjoyable
I played by myself most of the day, but had the fortunate opportunity to join 3 gentlemen that invited me to join them. the staff was fantastic especially since I left my Putter on the 18 th green. The staff member held on to it and told me the three boys that were playing behind me turned it in. Awesome to know those young gentlemen have honesty and integrity. Hats off to them and the staff. The course needs some work, but hey it's late August in Florida. For the price I have no complaints. I will return in the future!
Wet Conditions
Bunkers were full of water. Rough up probably due to water saturation. Fairways damp but in good condition. Greens ok considering wetness of course. Played from green (6520). Course is always a stern test of golf. Especially wicked to faders and slicers of the ball.
Great value
The course and driving range are never crowded. The staff is friendly and the rates w/cart via Golf Now can't be beat.
Very Playable
Other than recent top dressing on the greens, the course was in very good shape. Fairways and rough were lush, and most tee boxes were flat and mowed. Some of the bunkers still had standing water, but were being systematically drained and raked. Overall, a nice track for the price.
Cheap but you get what you pay for
Course has an interesting layout unfortunately it is in really poor shape
Great for the price
The course played fine, fairly open so good for Mia-hits. Some of the greens needed some work. Nice fairways, and interesting design. I would play it again.
Budget Friendly
If you are not on a budget this place is pretty inexpensive and very open on the weekends. Don't have to worry about a big crowd ahead of you slowing down your pace of play. Greens are a little rough and sometimes the bunkers are unplayable, but you get what you pay for. I'm just out there to have a good time.
Nice course and layout long off gold tees my son played of green tees and he really enjoyed the chanllange. green a little bear in places but rolled well and receptive to a ball only managed 11 holes due to the whether but got a great deal for $10 each on golf now teeing off at 14:30 ish hopefully we will go back and play 18
Good course to play!
Great course layout. The some greens had burnt out areas. The fairways were in excellent. One of my favorite layouts and I have played it often.
Bad Greens
Worst greens in Orlando. Not only were they spotty and ringed with sand, they didn't even bother to mow, leaving the greens very slow, and covered on worm casts. Unacceptable at any price.
Much Better
Course is in good shape now that the rains have helped bring it back to life. New management company that is working hard to get things running well. Tees are in need of a little work. Fairways are good. Rough is getting better. Greens are still very thin with many burnt areas and a lot of cup plugs around the perimeter that create a sand trap obstacle when chipping from just off the green. Could use a little more thought it placing the location of the flags to avoid having to chip and sometimes even putt through these areas.
All in all, the course is getting better....
Still no liquor license / no food. Really would help getting that back open.
As or the layout, It is one of the nicest ive ever seen. I hope the course continues to improve and get back to the level it could be.
Pleasantly surprised
After reading many critical reviews, we were not sure what we'd find. The course layout was good, many big par four and fives with nice wide fairways. The fairways themselves were in good condition. The greens were a little rough but with evidence of work underway.
Overall this was fabulous value for money and we felt welcomed and well looked after by the staff.
Go Play Hunter's Creek!!
Even with all the rain this past week, this golf course is now in excellent condition. The drought is over, and mother nature has provided the rain this course so badly needed. The greens are superb, the fairways are firm and green, and the overall condition of the course is excellent. Under new management beginning today, the course was ready to play at 6:30 am this morning. There was a guy working outside services, hustling bags, assigning carts, ensuring the carts were ready to go with sand, pencil and scorecard. The pro shop was open and ready for business. And the course was mowed, swept and ready for play!! This is the first time in over 4 months that golfers, arriving prior to 7:00 am, were greeted by members of the staff and welcomed to the course. It is even rumored that the restaurant and bar will be open, full-service, throughout the day for lunch and dinner!!! If you haven't played Hunter's Creek, you need to book your round now. If you are a former member or disgruntled resident golfer, get back to Hunter's Creek. You won't be disappointed!!
Golf
Had a great day golfing. Course was good. Staff were friendly.
Conditions steadily declining the past 18 months.
This used to be one of the best value courses you could find. There was a bit of a drought in the Orlando area and due to a lack of a reliable sprinkler system, the condition has been terrible as of late. A well-struck ball in the fairway feels like hitting out of a sand trap at times. Greens conditions are atrocious. Used to love playing this course and now I'm not sure I will ever go back.
Odd review. It is imposible that the horrible conditions of this golf course cant be fixed in couple of days.
It appears the review was made by new management.
But the positive thing is to know that a new administration took over the golf course. I really hope they can maintain the course in good shape, it is a fabulous golf course.
