Hunter's Creek Golf Club

After reading several reviews regarding this course I was really looking forward to playing here. The extremely slow pace and large numbers gathered at tee boxes took away from the enjoyment of playing this lovely setup. This may have been a bad day for the starter but he should have combined the groups. We were sent out as a twosome and there was two other twosomes behind us and one in front.

Not sure when they punched the greens but the greens are bumpy and long grass makes it hard to get a pace on putts hope they cut them soon because I love the course

This course was in excellent condition. The course was being mowed as we played but they never really got in the way. Greens read true. Pace of play was good. Had 10 a.m. tee time and finished at 1:40p.m.

The condition of this course is terrible. Greens are not mowed. Fairways are terrible. Wouldn't golf there if it was free. Played 9 and left.

We booked this course through GolfNow but because of Hurricane Matthew we called 2 hours ahead of time and were assured by a female that it was open. Then before driving an hour to the course we called a second time and the same female voice said yes they were open. One last time we called to see if they sold women's gloves and we were told by a maintenance worker, who said his phone rings when the pro shop's is busy, said the course was open. Three times, three affirmative answers.

We get there and the place is a ghost town. Tried the front door - it's locked. Went around to the pro shop - it's locked. But we were told 3 times they were open.

While sitting in the Hunter's Creek parking lot I called GolfNow and was told they showed the course was still accepting tee times and no one had notified them it was closed. They credited my card, refunded the reward points and gave me $15 of a tee time to use that same day. That's when I booked Kissimmee Bay.

It's unconscionable that management did not alert their partners, GolfNow or their own maintenance people that they were closed.

Sorry, but I can't say anything good about this experience.

First time playing this course & I was influenced by recent positive reviews I had read. I wasn't disappointed at all. I really enjoyed the course layout with several challenging holes. Main problem was that the greens were in poor condition recovering from recent renovations. The greens were extremely slow with long grass & many bunkers on the front 9 were simply mud. Back 9 bunkers were in much better shape with fresh sand so hopefully they continue to repair the bunkers. The greens will come back as shown by the condition of the back 9 greens.

Certainly worth playing due to the many challenging holes.

Staff is friendly, good rates and course is in good condition. Great place to play when I'm in Orlando.

My partner was 84 years old and I was 70 years old . We had to carry our golf bags from the car park to the course as you are not allowed a cart in the car park. We could not get a lunch as the chef had been sent home at 2oclock in the afternoon . Then we had to carry our golf bags back to the car park.

The lay out of the course is great.

The day we playes, the rough was too high and we lost a couple balls in the rough. The satff was aware of it and told to us that theyn will take care of it.

The first nine was closed so we only played the back nine twice....

Back nine & practice range closed because of rain the day before.

Huge ponds in bunkers & standing water everywhere.

Course was great for all the rain it had in the last couple weeks. Lots of sand traps were full of the water but good for the docks. Course layout and the challenge were great. You couldn't have a more friendly staff.

I go to pay the attendant he swipes my card and says "oh by the way the back nine is closed". Really!!!

he says "You can play the front twice"

Very friendly staff, good layout and pace of play, beautiful views of wildlife including bald eagles, Hawks, and more, long course but 5 tee boxes allow you to tailor to your game.

Course gotten a lot better since last time I played. Greens are all in good conditions.

Play HC years ago and made the mistake of playing the 6500 yd. tees. Even though I didn't play real well the 5900 yd. tees were enough of a challenge for me. Course is in good shape and enjoyable. There were a few real wet spots & I don't think it was from the weather. They might have over watered but rather have that than bone dry. Will try to get back there before the end of the year.

The last time I played this course was roughly 10 years ago. It wasn't awful then but not as good as it is now. The course is in really good condition. The fairways, greens, and even the rough are all now much better kept than in the past. The greens are a bit soft and slow but otherwise very good. The four bunkers I found my ball in were not at all fluffy and two were full of water. But the overall condition and the price make this a very good value. Plus, the length alone makes it very challenging. Only complaints are that the water coolers had very little water which slowly dripped out of the tap (seemingly because they were filled mostly with ice). And for those of us who like to do our part to maintain the course...my sand bottles were empty.

Nice course, friendly Marc in the pro shop, layout good, surprising holes , fairways good greens resenable for the time of year.

I'm impressed that Integrity golf has made great strides in bringing this course back to playability. I played last summer and it was a disaster. Happy to give credit when do. Will play again. I'm a central florida resident, I play many courses & am a summer card holder.

Found this gem after looking at the cost to play at Disney where we were vacationing. Had my 8 year old grandson with me to play.

Love playing in heat and early July in Florida is no exception.

Staff at Hunters Creek is top notch, professional and attentive to the customer. Matt, Andy Andrews, Jarod Bishop and the the unnamed cart attendant and bartender all made our day memorable. We will be back.

Also worth mentioning is that the course supports Junior Golf which s a definite plus and reason to play with your kids.

Once on course, we played at our own pace and aside from the super out spraying weeds, we were on our own. Only saw two other twosomes.

With the advent of measuring devices, which I don't use, my only real comment is that the lack of yardage on sprinkler heads or the availability of a yardage book hindered a really good round score wise. I was pretty close using the available markings (100, 150, 200 markers). No need to pay for cart based GPS.

Course routing through the residential areas is great. Unless you're a shankapotomus, the houses do not come into play. Great way to find a home on a golf course though.

Considering the high heat and humidity, the fairways and tees were in very good condition. Greens weren't slow and were rather hard and firm making them reasonable quick . A good thing.

Bottom line: As you read this, you can figure out that I liked the course. I think it has come back from what I heard was a rather low rating. I've given the course a high rating and consider it a hidden gem and an easy 10-15 minutes from Disney.
