Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Great Value
Great value for a nice, family friendly course. For an executuve style course, it’s challenging.
Fun Short Course
Sharpen your short game... Most holes are Par 3 with a couple of 4's.... Can jam up some holes but should be expected. Pretty day with lots of Sun but trees help provide adequate shade to stay comfortable.
Played this course many times and would recommend it to anybody that likes a 3 and 4 par course.
4 star
very friendly staff greens and fairways in very good condition
Nice day at the Run
Greens in great condition, fairway grass a bit long so that you almost had to fly it to the green to get on!!
The grass around the practice green is much to long. It's like chipping out of the rough.
Squirrel Run
Nice easy Par 3. Very flat. Fairways in good shape. Greens need some work. Ranger always about moving slow play. Good restaurant/grill
Fun day
Course is in nice shape although play was a bit slower than I prefer, but the perfect weather made that issue no big deal.
Mostly par 3. Not very challenging, but
Great practice for iron and short game play.
Well maintained.
Will return.
Short but fun
The course was in very good condition for this early in the season. The length is quite short with several of the holes under 100 yds. There are three nice par 4s to break things up on the front. Just make sure to use a GPS or rangefinder to double check the posted distances which were not always accurate.
Surprising Conditions
The course was in very good condition for mid April and after a bad Winter. The staff did an excellent job getting the course ready for play.
Fun Fall Golf
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The greens had some leaves but that is to be expected in December. Nice layout with challenging shots required. Easy to navigate. Definitely worth playing. I
Nice course to work on your irons/short game
I am undergoing physical therapy for rotator cuff tears and this is a great course to work on my irons and short game. Can have fun playing without having to take any hard swings. Very friendly staff, and was paired up with a really nice couple. Course and greens were in great shape. Have also played here when healthy and it is a nice course to fine tune your iron game.
WE MISSED THE OUTDOOR GRILLED HAMBURGER
WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SEEN FLAGS ON THE PRACTICE GREEN.
Hidden Gem
Squirrel Run is an extremely well maintained, lushly groomed course, especially for a round at this price range. The staff is very relaxed (as is the leisurely pace of play). The rolling greens add complexity to make up for the shorter distances and the fairway grass is perfectly cut (something that is not always the case for public courses in New England). The clubhouse is basic, but caters ideally to the regular retirement community. Squirrel Run is a top notch course and is definitely a hidden gem.
