Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Very Enjoyable for What It Is
Have heard many good things about Squirrel Run over the years. Finally had an opportunity to give it a try recently on a mild but breezy, Monday afternoon. Tightly compacted holes spiral around and run parallel on the front and part of back side. Marvelous, undulating greens are fun to putt, nice speed. There are only three, par 4's on the front only, but the fairways were in nice shape. Rest of the holes are all par 3's. Water comes in to play on a couple holes and a nasty ravine on the 16th hole. We can see how this course attracts seniors, women and new golfers; it is fairly easy, short and fun to play.
For short of a 2.5 hour round, we would go back for an enjoyable "short round". Nice little pro shop also and very friendly staff!
Squirrel run
Not a very challenging course. Never played there before shot 1 over. They must have practal jokers there also. Ever hole we played pin was in crooked. Leaning over hard destroying the cup. Something they should have addresssed. The greens rolled nice. Overall ok experience. Much better courses within 30 mins. May never return. Good course for beginners I would imagine.
SQuirel run
very nice little course. excellent place to work on short game. greens were in pretty good shape considering the recent snow.
Great Short Course!
A favorite 'almost' par 3 course. There are 3 par 4 holes. Course is always in good condition. A great place to walk 18 holes and challenge your short game. Very friendly staff. Try to get here this season!
Great for newbies
SR is a lovely pretty short course for beginners. Pace is good. And walking it is wonderful. Easily walk the 18. Good condition. Interesting holes for brand new golfers. Very nice staff and great pro.
Great Little Course
My husband and I loved this course. Small and quaint with a couple of challenges. Everyone in the clubhouse as well as golfers were very pleasant. We enjoyed this course that we will go back but only when the weather is nicer. We played with 15 mph winds and 38 degrees but sun was out.
Nice value course
Nice people good course great course for starters
Fun golf at Squirrel Run
Had a great day of golf with my wife. Nice layout, moderately difficult. My wife had her best day ever, recording 7 consecutive pars.
Love this course
It had been a while since I played this course, and I honestly don't know why. The course is in great condition, the people are awesome and the course was SO fun!!! This will be my new go-to course and I look forward to playing it again.
fun executive course

Hidden gem
What a find! Spotted it on GolfNow SE MA and knew it was in our area. 2 couples played in 3 hrs walking. Mostly well designed par 3's with couple of par 4's added in. Staff and conditions could not have been nicer. Family owned and very welcoming. Adult beverages on patio following. A "don't misss" if you are in the area.
Happy Acres
This course gets a lot of play, but, never shows wear and tear. The management is awsome. Kudos to the pro David and the rest of the staff. It's always like golfing with friends!
I love the variety from short to long holes.
We were the first ones on the course and everyone had an enjoyable time. It was real cold and a slight wind but still managed to have a close game for all of us.
Mid. Dec. Golf
60 degrees in Dec. course is in excellant shape. Played well. Life is good.
Great value
Have played this beautifully maintained course, and getting the $14 fee for 18 holes and a new cart was great!
Great Course...Well Maintained
Enjoyed playing this course. Played the white tees but would play the blue on my next visit. Interesting layout with sand and water.
The staff is extremely friendly as well as the other golfers we spoke with.
Squirrel Run consistently good
We enjoy playing at SR for its reasonable price and good conditions. It's not a stuffy golf club but a friendly place.
We drive twice as far to come here because of the polite and easy going staff.
Overall nice
The course was overall really nice. My big issue was the greens there were plenty of ball marks left unrepaired and they were recently aerated making it challenging to put
Nice Course
Well maintained and in great shape. Fairly easy and good for the beginner golfer. I brought my grandson
(9 years old) and he loved it
