Squirrel Run Country Club
About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Always a good day
Pace was slow to start. Conditions are excellent. Staff is friendly.
Great par 3 course
Fun and challenging par 3 course, with two par 4 holes, that is well maintained throughout. We played from the blue tees and I got to use my driver on the first hole, but mostly irons thereafter. I don’t know how accurate are yardage plaques, several seemed to be off (we didn’t have a range finder so I can’t be sure on that).
Nice par 4 course
Playing at the blue tee would be perfect practice all clubs for ladies.
Perfect day
Conditions were great tee to green. Friendly staff. Wish I could remember his name but the guy working the grill could not have been nicer.
Family Oriented
Great executive course with a neat layout. Family friendly and awesome staff!
Greens were not good. But it’s early in the season
Looked like the greens got infected with a disease
Nice exec course
Nice exec course, mostly par 3’s but a few par 4 holes. Good layout though a few tee boxes are a bit close to the prior greens - squeezed in a few places.
Great Practice for Short Game
Par 57 / loved the course , despite excessive leafs everywhere , but very windy and late fall so that was to be expected .
Course narrow , lots of traps , and well maintained .
Wish it was closer , would play it twice a month
Great Par 3
I played this course for the first time Tues 10/29 and then again on Friday 11/01. I was the first tee time both days and played solo. Great fun course. Lots of leaves, but that’s to be expected this time of year. Looking forward to playing this course again in the future, a lot!
Best short game test
The Greens are small and fast with lots of undulation rough is thick most holes are strategically bunkered bring your A game! Staff is just Great Nicest Guys around.
Check in guy
Guy who checked me in was a real jerk. Most likely won’t go again. Course is beat up
Tom V's review
The course is always a pleasure to play. This time, however, the greens and some approach areas had been plugged. That's good for the course, but took away from this round. A notice of those conditions would have been appreciated.
