Oak Quarry Golf Club

What an amazing course! Definitely one of the best in SoCal, and especially at the rate. The course was undergoing bunker renovations, but other than that it was in IMMACULATE condition. The staff was fantastic. The gentleman who checked us in went above and beyond to help. I forgot his name but he was there 7am on 2-6-22. We flew in from Dallas and was not disappointed! We will be back.

First time playing this course in 10 years.

Good:

- layout is insane, great views!

- challenging yet fair course, respect it!

Bad:

- Greens are bumpy. Definitely need some tlc.

- Fairways are mainly dirt. Was punished multiple times for hitting the fairway then going up and seeing I was on compacted dirt/grass mix.

120$ is a tough sell for a course that isn’t as good as some of the 60$ course a little farther south. Paid 120 for Westin hills in Palm Springs and there wasn’t a blade of grass out of place. Needs some work to be a 120$ course.

This course gets out of control on the weekends I've seen it as high as 200 a round. I payed 80 for a early Monday start. For that price its worth it on the course layout alone, it's a cool course. Everything else is average.

Fun track in great condition, will definitely be back!

Only thing that bugs me about this place is no cart girl… I take clients out to golf at this course often and they never have the cart girl out anymore. A little frustrating since most things at this course are rather premium, including the cost.

It is good course in landscape and view but lack of well management. I have been experiencing lack of management. More delay that my 1st tee off delayed and could finish just 14 holes with 12:55 PM reservation. There was no range balls available and two short interval between other players. I would pass this couse from now on. I used to playing here more often even if the green fee is higher. Now, there is no reason for me to pay higher fees to imcompleted management of golf course.

12 noon tee time, went out at 12:10 after the starter allowed a 2 person replay of the course to slip in infront of us.

Ended up being a 5.5 hour round. Absolutely ridiculous for a premium course.

Typically I’m in love with this course, but the starter and the Marshalls were being lazy today. Bulls#%^ round.

Suppppper slow round honestly one of thr slowest ever I’ve played. For 150 dollars this course has a dope layout but slowest play ever. Over 3 hours to finish the front 9. They need someone out there telling all the golfers to hurry up. If you start after 12 You will not finish during this time of the year. Literally waiting on every hole and almost every shot. Mgmt - I understand you need to make money but you do realize that many good players will refuse to play in these types of conditions!

Maintenance of bunkers really necessary and very different through out the course . Nobody rakes them ..

For the green fees, a second bathroom wouldn’t be out of the question. Bring your female pee funnel. Oh but there’s a chicken farm on the back nine and you can't ignore it because the scent carried in the 50 mph winds that blew that day. It was so windy the ball kept falling off the tee and the golf cart shook as we drove. It was as dangerous as playing in lightning. I might think of trying again if the conditions were better and the price was right.

Course layout and views are amazing. Always a course I’d recommend to strangers who have never played here before. Greens and fairways are in great condition however the green side bunkers could use fluffy sand. Witnessed my second person now with a hole in one and again no so called “tradition of buying drinks” even just for your group was followed. What a sourpuss!

We had a wonderful time! Great course. Challenging.

The course is so slow you can take a nap between every hole and still keep up. Once you wake back up the mind needs to be sharp to keep up with the stellar design.

Good layout but poor conditions : greens slowish and bumpy , fairways hard pack and brown . Did not have the new hole arrangement numbered properly eg started on hole #17 but should have said #1 - no warning or direction from disinterested check in person . No starter . The greenside bunkers were deplorable , like unraked fine gravel hard packed with mostly no rakes beside the traps . A 2some ahead of us took 4 1/2 hours to play and they NEVER waited because the groups ahead of them were long gone , an apparent marshall passed by us several times but didnt give us an opportunity to point them out . Sporadic 100 , 150 yard fairway markers . Driving range balls were very worn . Honestly overall felt like widely neglected course . . Wont be returning .
