Oak Quarry Golf Club

Played there on Friday 5/16 with my normal crew. Course was in great shape. A lot of challenging holes sometimes very shot specific holes for course management. The greens were fast with a lot of angulation. The restaurant in the clubhouse has good food for after the round. Very scenic course!

The markings of many holes are unclear. Hope the logo will be improved.

This course is a gem. The spectacular views are stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the hole signs. They were misleading and difficult to read. Most of the hole numbers were missing. Hole 9 and 10 were hard to find. No directions signs. Otherwise, I’m going to come back often.

Poor services no cart refreshments, course signage was very poor.

Great golf course but these sand traps are absurd. I guess its called stone sand? Im a 2 HCP played over 300 courses and never seen anything like this. The sand is super thick grains like mini stones and soft but super dense, literally impossible to get out of clean and I am typically a very good sand player. The sand here is an issue, unlike anything ive ever seen

This is an excellent golf course, only issue and I repeat its a major issue, what is up with the sand in these bunkers. I am a 2 HCP golfer who typically is quite good out of sand traps. I found myself in the sand here 3 times and immediately was shook when I stepped in. The sand is extremely unique, really large grains (like mini stones) very soft but super dense. Ive probably played over 300 golf courses in my time, never seen anything like this, extremely challenging to get out of this type of sand and very frustrating the sand is like this because makes me not want to go back if each time im in the sand, I'm gonna add 1-2 strokes even though im a good bunker player. Other then this its an excellent golf course.

Great course and great price for a Sunday afternoon. Will definitely come back if I ever get these discounts again. Course set up is challenging but not impossible. Fun course. Needs better signage for the new layout - was confusing on playing the correct holes, starting with #9. Course marshal needs to keep pace moving as we encountered a few slow downs throughout the round with groups ahead. Ready golf should be enforced

Overall a beautiful course and in nice shape. Greens were fast but fair and rolled well. Only issue is pace of play I left without out playing 18 at 330pm mind you we tee’d off at 1024am. The marshal was seen once but never addressed the folks that were out of position

Waited on every hole. Very bumpy greens one hole. We had six group on it. So disappointed on the price they charged for a golf course like this. I have to wait so long time.

I always enjoy playing this course.

The course is in the great condition. pace of play slow, 5-hour round.

Booked my round at this course a month in advance, excited to finally experience what’s often considered one of the top-rated tracks in the area. With greens fees now upwards of $130, I expected a well-organized and premium experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but.

Check-in went smoothly, and my clubs were loaded onto a cart—but then the starter accused me of not having a proper tee time and insisted I was a walk-on. Without any prior notice, our group was pushed back a full hour. The situation was handled poorly, and I was made to feel as though the mistake was mine. I spoke with the manager, who showed little interest in resolving the issue or offering any sort of acknowledgment.

By the time we finally teed off, it was clear we wouldn’t be able to finish before sunset. To make matters worse, the pace of play was painfully slow, with at least 10-minute waits on almost every tee box.

For a course charging over $130 per round, this level of disorganization and customer service is simply unacceptable. As someone who plays frequently across Southern California, I would not recommend this course—unless you’re playing early on a weekday and are willing to gamble on the experience.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Management

My son booked a tee time three weeks in advance for my birthday—2:00 PM on a well-regarded course. We arrived an hour early, made purchases in the pro shop and restaurant, and picked up our carts, only to be told we wouldn’t tee off until 2:56 PM due to “backups.”

Oddly, we watched a large group (4 groups of 4 all together) and a group of 4 of whom admitted their tee times was after ours go out before us. Clearly, we were bumped for some reason. Lots of frustration on the start times that we say

We raised the issue with the manager, who was dismissive and showed zero empathy. He offered a $150 credit—but only for the pro shop, not the restaurant where we’d already spent money. Then to top it off, we couldn’t finish our round because it got dark, and by the time we returned, the pro shop was closed, so we couldn’t even use the credit.

Really disappointing experience overall. Beautiful course but completely mismanaged.
