Oak Quarry Golf Club

When we arrived for some reason our 10.24 tee time was moved to 10.56 but the guys in the pro shop changed it so we got out earlier at 10 am. No one told us maintenance was taking place on the course or that the greens had recently been sanded. It took 2 hours to play nine holes, not an unreasonable pace, but then an hour and a half to play the next three holes, so we walked off after 13 having lost patience.

For only my second time playing @ Oak Quarry, it was awesome!!! Conditions were great! I’ll be back!

I don’t know how this kind of fancy golf course has

so much wait. We played 5hours and 30mins and still couldn’t finish 18holes. Average wait time was 5mins each hole and for par 3 hole- wait time was like 10mins.. terrible waiting experience:(

Unfortunately we were behind a foursome of young guys that did more chit chat than golf

We waited 5-10 minutes and some times more, on EVERY shot They were at least 2 holes behind

A Marshal was needed desperately to get after them

This was not the first time it’s happened!

$150 to play a round that has massively slow play. They jam pack the reservations. They ran out of range balls and no one available to pick them up. You are waiting on the course afree every shot. Poor signage indicators to tell you where to go, holes 12 and 14 were changed but still showing the wrong numbers and no notice prior to heading out or nothing indicated on the course. No cart girl and the bar and restaurant were close prior to round finishing. Very under staffed and an overall poor experience for the amount they charge. I will not be going back and would caution anyone that wants to play there. Save your money, play anywhere else but this course

First the good: starter was great! He was very accommodating. Oak Quarry has potential to be a must play course. Flat tee boxes for the most part. Areas of the fairways had good grass coverage.

Here’s the bad: This course desperately needs marshals. The pace of play is atrocious. Parts of the fairways were dirt, no grass coverage. Greens were very long and almost unplayable. Ridiculously bumpy greens.

Had a 1208pm tee time through GN. Course clearly booked a group of 20 golfers last minute and delayed us 1 hour. Ended up being 5.5 hours for 14 holes. 3 hour front 9! Wasn’t trying to play a 7 hour round. Clean it up!

20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 made our round memorable for sure. Would love to go back some day and really experience this great golf course . Some of the most scenic holes I have ever seen. The condition of the course definitely needs improvement. The bunkers need sand and some grass removal.

First time playing here, had heard amazing things but never played. Absolutely incredible views and layout. Will be playing here many times more and it’s worth the almost hour drive we made.

This is a course with a spectacular mountain and rock view. I enjoyed the course layout and design. Fairway condition is great but pace of play may be a little slow in the early morning due to defrost delay.
