Asheville Municipal Golf Course

We enjoyed the layout of this track. The fairways and greens were in bad shape. The cart paths were absolutely terrible in multiple areas. If the city would invest in this course and repair it properly, it would be a great revival for a wonderful design.

Once again I am disappointed in the overall course condition and staff. One of the mowers made me back off away from my 2nd shot on #9 so he could mow in my ball path which resulted in him knocking my ball out of place ! This behavior is ridiculous and I’ve never seen it happen anywhere else but here

Hitting off of a lot of dirt patches. Bunkers are like concrete. Get what you pay for.

We played this course for the first time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Front 9 was decent, it was hard to tell the fairway from the edge. Car path was terrible with big wholes. The putting greens where in good shape.

The car path on the back nine where worse, some of fairways on the back nine had huge wholes of dirt with little grass. The golf cart did not drive smoothly.

The back 9 is not worth your time. It’s in literally terrible condition. I know it’s a public course owned by the city, and I play these courses frequently. This one is a one and done……. Pay more and play somewhere else in the Asheville.

Fun for a Municipal course. Staff is friendly but cart path could be a potential liability in some areas. Front 9 flat and back 9 more challenging! Greens were slow and straight shots.

of the two times I've played, each round started with the starter who can be described as downright unpleasant: no "good morning", no "how are you today", no smile. When we approach the blue tees, he questioned whether we were qualified to hit from the tees (we were). Either train this guy or get rid of him.

As for the course, the greens are in good shape, but I can't say the same for the traps, tees, or fairways.

Unfortunately Asheville has not been reinvesting into this course and it shows. It’s almost like they want it to fail.

Good layout, and very busy . So they’re making plenty of money. But the fairways look like pasture grass greens are in great shape and rolling very nicely. The cart paths were pretty rough but that’s beside the point when you’re playing golf.They need to cut back some trees on the back nine because they limit what you can do on the course. But my biggest complaint was the fairways, doesn’t look like they’ve put any work into them. Could be a really nice gem for the area!
