For being the end of the winter, the course is in great shape. Staff extremely friendly. And it was great to see the grill back open. Just wished they could get the front nine open.
This course is terrible do not waste your money.
If you want a ride staff and a terrible course that over charges then by all means play here, or go down to silver creek and play for better price and people, black mountain is awful
Fairways could use some work
Greens were in fairly good shape with some bad spots. Lots of fairway divots. Seems to be still under repair from the Hurricane. Only 9 holes are open.
Overpriced, no wait I mean way overpriced
No driving range. No GPS on carts. No beverage carts. Minimal food & only 1 restroom for each gender. What's with all the piles of dead grass all over the fairways? Did I mention there is only one 9 open, which you have to repeat if you mistakenly signed up for 18. They said it was because of storm damage. Wasn't the big storm a year ago?
Great Course
I enjoyed my round at Black Mountain. Even with all of the rain, the course back nine was in great shape. They are working hard to get the repairs made to reopen the front nine after Hurricane Helene.
Pitiful
Hurricane Helene caused damage but in a year’s time they only have the back nine open. The conditions are fair at best. The fairways are way too long and the tee boxes look terrible. I hope they get their act together
Great course
Played the back 9 twice today as the front is still closed due to the hurricane last year. Given what this area went through I am impressed beyond belief that they are open and that the course is in decent shape. Is it perfect? No. It’s is playable especially after all the damage. Absolutely. I will be playing here regularly now and am looking forward to the front 9 opening.
Love this local gem
Great course, beautiful scenery, and some fun holes. Obviously the hurricane did some damage, but they’ve done a great job getting this course back to playing shape. Still some work to do, but I’ll continue playing here. It makes for a great afternoon.
still recovering
the course is still recovering from the hurricane... i am. thankful for their work to make this available
Thankful
Black Mountain has always been a favorite course of mine. I was heartbroken by the damage it sustained in Hurricane Helene. So thankful that at least 9 holes are open again.
They are back !
After a long closure from storm in Sept the back 9 is open. Love the course. Not in its best shape , but glad to have it back open. A few funky holes but still enjoyable round. Front 9 should be back open this fall.
