Good Expierience

Live close by so play as often as I can about once a week on average. Not always pleased with my score but always enjoy playing. Its not the easiest course around . But not the most difficult either.Excelent staff .Over all good time. Play if you get a chance. And dont forget 747 Yrd. Par6 no.17. At 1 time was in the Guinesses Book of world records.

Not worth it

Course was in desperate need of rain!

Couldn’t even put a tee in the ground!

If you have never played mountain golf do not play here!

Great course

I played MM yesterday.. although my score wasn’t great, the course was in terrific shape and I had fun.. the new owners and staff are working extremely hard to bring this course back.. the greens are beautiful and fairways are better then they have been in years.. the food at the restaurant and views are exceptional… if you’re looking for a course that has exceptional views (looking up at Mt. Mitchell, and fairways that meander along the beautiful S.Toe river) and is fun to play, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed

Bad Layout

This course was badly laid out, and frankly dangerous in several spots.

Fun Course to Play

From the time we entered the Pro Shop, the staff was friendly, and inviting. We immediately felt welcomed.

The staff instructed us on the difficulties of the course and where everything was located.

It was amazing round of golf! I would recommend it to our friends.

First time playing this course in 20+ years and it’s a very tidy course. The long par 6 was fun and overall had a great time with my buddy. Definitely would recommend this course to anyone.

Watch out

This course has some beautiful views outside the golf course. The course is what you would expect from a marginal municipal golf course. Not in good condition. Greens putt ok. On small side and very soft leaving divots in the greens where ball hits. Sometimes hard to stop the ball. Consider any ball outside the rough as lost as there has been no effort to clear any wooded areas. A very precarious layout of holes with players on other holes in the line of fire. Fairways, tees, rough and fringe areas in fair to poor condition. I don’t recommend this course for inexperienced players or experienced for that matter. This course is worth about half the price of green fees. Nevertheless family had a good time playing.

Unique course, but pace of play & enforcement slow

Great public course, but no driving range. Greens in good shape but a bit slow. Great & friendly staff though. Super slow pace on back nine but would love to play again when not so slow. Wish ranger or other staff had prevented the 6-some slowing everyone down.
