Aerated greens
I love this Donald Ross gem. My summer home course. Played 9/29 almost 2 weeks after aeration and greens still sandy and slow. I would wait another week before playing. Other than that great place to play.
SAND
This course is always one of my favorites but they really messed up this time when they top dressed the greens. The sand was thick and heavy on the greens. I have played here before after top dressing and conditions were not unplayable like this time. They need to look at their procedures for the future.

Beach on Greens
Tee boxes poorly managed, fairways okay, greens were horrible given that the course recently top dressed them with so much sand that putting was impossible without using a hybrid.....too bad as the layout is nice.

Not good experience at all
The sand that was put on the greens!! OMG!! That person needs to be fired. It was thick, uneven, didn't even go to the outer edges.. waste of time golfing there because once on the green you would just pick up your ball and go to the next hole! Not able to even keep score. Will never go back and will not recommend. Also when I checked it the man behind the counter was not friendly and never engaged other than a quick name and pointed to golf carts and went right back to eating and watching TV.

Sand on greens
The course was great overall except for the greens. Once on the greens, it was like putting out of the sand. Had I known this, I would not have played that day. It was terrible with the amount of sand on the greens.

Beach
Please oh please scrap the greens to even the sand out and drag off the abundance of excess sand. Large sections with so much sand you can’t even see the grass. That much sand will take a month or more to go into the greens.

Poor greens conditions - NO NOTIFICATION OF AERATION AND TOP DRESSING
All greens were un-puttable. Played 9-22-23. Greens topdressed 9-21-23. No mention of this process when this round was booked and paid for. We should have been given a notice with a choice of whether to book or not. Had we known this was done to the greens we would have played elsewhere. Disappointing to book and pay on-line only to arrive at the course and find that it is unplayable.

Highly Impressed
This course is a beautiful course that was in GREAT condition and the Mountain views on almost every hole were ridiculous. Back nine gets much tighter than the front nine, but both are playable and a ton of fun! Number 17, par 6 is quite an experience. I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m close.

Backdrop is beautiful!
Beautiful views. Greens are good, fairways and cart path somewhat rough. Most tee boxes really close to the green before it. Enjoyed our day there.

Donald Ross Gem
Other than a few spots in the fairways and tee boxes this is a 5 star course. I come here every summer from Florida and this course is the main reason.

Great course to enjoy a fun round of golf
The man who checked me in was very nice and gifted me a booklet that had each hole with yardages which helped me since I had never played here before. There is a 747 yard par 6 that should be named the Boeing 747 hole #17. A golfer joined up with me and we played the course in less than 3 hours. The greens were pretty fast and were hard to read the speed and slope. A few holes had yardages a little long for a senior golfer that only hits drives 200-220 yards and to have a 3 par that is 200 yards is not right or a 4 par that is 390 yards is not right either. Some yardage for the ladies are a little long unless they can hit like a man.

The guy the clubhouse was friendly and helpful, he made a great first impression.
The ladies in the grill were sweet and extreme accommodating, our snack was made quick and great tasting.
