Lochmere Golf Club

A great day of golf . Teamed up with some millennials and had a great time. The "rounded" greens made it very interesting. The fairways were fantastic and specifically enjoyed the pace of play. NO waiting the entire round. A key suggestion. Either allow coolers or let's get some beverage carts out there. Some water would have been greatly appreciated. See you again.

We had the misfortune to end up behind a slow group, so pace of play was a bit painful, but we have been here plenty of times and everything else was as expected. Even with the slow group, we had a great time and the other folks at the course, including those behind us, were laid back and just enjoying a late T time going into the holiday weekend.

Golfed many times at Lochmere, and the conditions of the course were superb today...in spite of the COVID situation. Nice addition with the Bluetooth speakers on the carts...made for a relaxing round, in spite of the slow pace of the group in front of us. Fairways are grown in nicely, and greens are in superb condition. Well done Lochmere...keep up the good job.

It was super wet after rain which is no fault of course. Water on nearly every hole. Very challenging. Staff isn't the friendliest would be my only knock.

Front staff needs to give more information or needs to be more interested when someone says first time here. Saturday golf is busy but help a brother out.

Every time I visit my son in Raleigh I play 2 courses, Lochmere was a terrific course. Great condition, good driving range and friendly staff. Really enjoyed my round. There was water on every hole so a real challenge keeping the ball straight..I look forward to playing this gem again

Fun course. Greens rolled well and fringe and fairways were clean and well maintained. Short course though with several gimmicky holes that prevented using driver or “fair” approach shots

Greens were sanded but it’s that time of year. Pace of play,fairways and bunkers all better than expected. Got a special on GN and paired up with a couple nice guys. I will be back soon

Have only played this course twice, but it is very well maintained and a pleasure to play. Lots of fairly short par 4s with some narrow fairways and quite a few bunkers around the greens. The course rewards accuracy over shot length. My only minor criticism would be that the par 4s all start to look similar after a while. Highly recommended.

near perfect golf weather and pace of play. Fairways were a bit soggy in some spots but it didn't interfere with play. The greens were quick for sure however they were in decent condition.

This is only the 2nd course I have played around Cart, and I must say I fully enjoyed the 9 holes I was able to play and sorely disappointed I did not have time for the back 9!

I was initially greeted by the Proshop

guy whose initial begins with a J, and he was a super friendly guy and we had a brief chat in golf as it stands now during the pandemic season of life. After our chat, I proceeded to the range to get loosened up. Which, their practice facility is outstanding to say the least.

Next off,, after a few warm up putts, I proceed to the first hole. An average length from the blues, so I might suggest the black tees I’d you’d like a little more challenge.

The course was in outstanding condition, tee boxes, fairways, bunkers (yeah, I ended up in 2), and the undulating greens were firm and well maintained.

You can tell the grounds crew takes pride in this course just as much as the owners and managers.
