I’m not sure what is going on at this course, the greens are absolutely awful, just over saturated, every shot will plug on the green, and good luck putting. Spend your money elsewhere, will give another shot next year. As for this year the greens are shot.

Very slow, greens were in bad shape, other players are rude.

Course let people walk before noon on a Sunday, which slows down everyone else.

Olde Sycamore is a wonderful course but apparently the greens have had a tough summer. They are bad enough that it is pretty tough to read them. So be aware that the greens will be super fast but you will not know where the ball is going.

Everything else including the staff is great!

I only played 9 holes, but will definitely return to play again. Probably the best course conditions in the Charlotte area that I have played in a while. Sort of pricey, but you get what you pay for in the pristine course conditions and amenities. Highly recommend!

They must have recently aerated the greens, then applied LOTS of sand. The greens were all marked up, ball marks everywhere, spike marks everywhere. You had to put through a desert of sand & marks. I’ve played this course multiple times, this was as bad as I’ve seen it. Pace of play was great for a twosome going off in the late afternoon on a Wednesday (~3 hours). Please fix the greens.

Friends played a few weeks prior and greens were in great shape. Recently there were black spots everywhere. Otherwise nice course and great shape.

$42 for a Monday round is out of whack

Starter was very friendly

The course is a great layout. Pace of play for morning Sunday time was just over 6 hours. Staff is very friendly but did nothing to improve the pace. Greens were in very poor condition however the fairways and tee boxes were in great shape.

I have played this course maybe 15-20 times over the years. The fairways and tee boxes are always in excellent shape and the layout is very challenging. The greens however are some of the worst in Charlotte. Riddled with un repaired divots and disease, putting is almost not worth the effort. You can get much better greens at other courses if you are willing to drive a little further out from Charlotte.

The poorest greens in Charlotte area. Way over watered. Superintendent doesn't seem to know what he's doing. If I was a member I'd be curious.

This is a scenic course, nevertheless, the look is slightly deceiving. Putting greens were a bit a rough. Be prepared to be paired with another random group despite playing at 8:00 AM on Wednesday morning. There is nothing more infuriating than going out to play golf with a business client and getting paired with two people you have never met before. Good people but had no business being on the course with us. Would’ve taken 5 hours to play 18 if they hadn’t left after the first 9.

I wasn't able to finish due to a monsoon, but I wanted to acknowledge the pro shop and starter for how well I was treated. Very friendly and accommodating every time I've played! Really wanted to finish the round but had a great time for the few holes I was able to get in.

I played the course on a Saturday and it was packed! Several greens were infested with red ants, tee boxes were average. I blame myself but forgot my new range finder on the cart and called back in several days later and of course it was never turned in (hope who ever took it enjoys it).

Tees and fairways are good the greens are a disgrace . Inconsistent long slow some have no grass. Staff is almost non existent

Not only are they charging an inflated price, but the require you to pay extra to have a cart to social distance. That makes no sense and they did not post it on the website when booking your tee time.. The tee boxes and fairways were in very good shape but the greens were in poor shape. I would play there again, but the greens fee should include a cart!
