Great course and in great shape currently. Hope it stays this way. Staff in pro shop and bar were very friendly

Nice layout. Not the fastest greens. It’s a little on the pricey side, but still worth it.

This was our first time at Old Sycamore. The course was in decent shape for early Spring. We are looking forward to playing in the Summer to see the course conditions. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The course was challenging but fair. We will definitely be back for another round!

My first trip to Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation was pleasant and the pairing they set me and my son with made it a great experience. The course played well and provided a mix of difficulties. The tee boxes were very natural in appearance, but the fairways and greens were in great condition. In total a positive experience I look forward to repeating in the future!

Young fella in the clubhouse was rude. Had an issue with my online payment. All he would say is check your receipt. Must’ve had a bad morning. Needs to work on his people skills

Good variety of holes, greens very good for being aerated recently, still offseason conditions but very playable.

The course itself I really like. The greens were not in good shape. No way to get a smooth role.

All the outside staff are great. Super friendly. The guy at the pro shop was was not. He acted as if he didn't care if we played there or not. No smile, kind of a dick. My white son and I were asked when were our tee times upon reaching the counter. A black father so was behind us, as soon as they approached the counter, he said you guys can't get out until after 3. The son had to tell him they had tee times. I thought that was a little messed up also.

No rain the day we went, but course was an absolute soggy mess. That coupled with gimicky layout of forced layups with small creeks caused for a long, bad day of golf.

Have played here a number of times because its often the closest course I can get a tee-time on short notice. More often than not, its cart path only - even if its been a number of days since the last rain. The layout is okay. If you're a little longer than average with the driver, you'll seldomly get to hit it playing whites.

The shop staff and starters are always grumpy or trying to intimidate you for whatever reason even though your supporting their course that is in desperate need of repairs. On week days it seems they have a lot of open slots but let senior league/members play in those slots even though you were booked at those times so you'll end up waiting on them.

For the price, this course is not worth it. It's super overpriced considering some of the other courses nearby that are the same price or cheaper and provide a much better experience.

Course is one of my favorite in the area, which makes this last round so much more sad. Played Saturday in a 4some, best ball match play. Probably the fastest format we can play in. After 3 holes, the Marshall comes by and says we are a hole behind although I can see the group ahead of us, fine it’s 9:45 Saturday morning enjoying some coffee but I’ll hustle. Same guy comes by a hole and maybe 12 mins later and tells us to skip a hole there’s 4 groups on a hole behind us, which didn’t sound like our problem we couldn’t see anyone behind us. So we skip a hole and still finish 17 holes in 3 hours 50 mins.

I don’t know why this particular Marshall chose his actions, but they really irritated my group for no reason. I probably won’t go back out of fear I’ll be told to league for not running the length of each hole. If this guy is so concerned about time, go work the US Olympic swim trials, not Saturday morning recreational golf.
