Rocky River Golf Club at Concord
About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Nice course
Had not played this course in several years. Love the course and the layout. The course was in great shape. Not happy that the range was closed. Didn’t look like there was any reason for it. Showed up early to hit balls and had to put and chip.
Slow but cool people, nice track..
I got paired with a nice group on a twilight round and in the app it said 18 holes.. we got behind a 2 some that was just unbearably slow and it took a few hours to get through 9.. no biggie right? well, it would have been cool if they issued a rain check for the other 9 but apparently not.. be aware when booking.. we got to 9 at about 8:30 and I didn’t want to be that guy keeping the staff there all night, they said that it probably wouldn’t be an issue but they were mistaken.. course is nice tho, cool layout, needs water for sure but tis the season.. I’ll go back for sure, but I’ll def be aware of my booking details ahead of time..
One of the best public courses in charlotte
In my opinion it’s one of the top three public courses in charlotte. Always a fun track in good shape. I would highly recommend it to anyone n who doesn’t belong to a club, or anyone who wants something different than their club. I play TPC piper Glen a couple times a month, and this course honestly compares in it’s fun layout and length.
Nice course
Lots of interesting holes, nicely secluded, except for the few holes in the open looking at the NASCAR track, and very decent greens. Good challenge but wouldn’t be overly punitive for an average golfer. Could have used some more water on the fairways in a few places. Overall a very solid course at a fair price.
Great course but very short
Rocky River was in great shape for a public course. I was able to use 3 wood on nearly every tee leaving myself less than 150 yards approach so it's quite short. Layout is fairly easy as the fairways are pretty wide open and only have the holes present danger upon approach. I would happily play this course again for the value.
Best greens in Charlotte
Get the ball in the fairway and you’ll be just fine. Don’t try to be a hero where it doesn’t make sense. Drink lots of booze, vibe out with your homies!
Cheers
Great experience
Courser was in great shape and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Great Course
My first time playing the course and enjoyed the outing. I will definitely be back again
Great Course
This was my first time playing this course. I was a little leery about it due to the green fees, but by the time I made it to hole #10, I was a fan of the course. Played a great round and will definitely be back to play it again. I recommend this course as a regular trak to play.
