Rocky River Golf Club at Concord
About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Fast Greens
Great course, we had a walking 4 some in front of us and we still completed 18 holes in less than 4 hrs
Excellent public course
I played here in February when all the grass except the greens was dormant. Despite that, the course was terrific. Greens were slick but manageable, sand in bunkers was perfect, tough track that requires thinking each shot through. Would ove to play here in the summer when the grass is alive
Great round!
Was able to snag a great deal time on this course. I've played it several times and it never disappoints. Great value on a solid track. Greens were consistent and overall, the course was in good shape for a late February round.
The only problem was the pace of play on the front nine - there was a foursome that included two walkers directly in front of us. We were never given an opportunity to play through, but thankfully the two walkers left after nine holes. We breezed through the back without waiting at all!
Playing golf in February
Love Rocky River
Course was in good shape. The pin placements were challenging. Always a great place to play golf in Charlotte!
FUN ROUND IN FEBRUARY!
Love this course when I need to get my confidence back. Always in great shape and challenging pins.
Rocky River GC. Aka. RR
Nice course beautiful greens… highly recommend playing this course
Wish they would rebuild there driving range … get rid of mats!
I am impressed
Just moved to the Concord area and have played this course throughout the fall. I really enjoy playing here. Nice practice area, great staff and the course (even though it gets plenty of play) have been in great condition. It is a nice mix of some easy holes and some more challenging ones. Driving areas are wide and very playable for a public course but this is typically offset with some challenging pin placements. Greens run true. Excellent.
Beautiful Rockin' Rocky River
As always this course is so amazing! From the staff to quality of the course, I always have a wonderful round whether I play well or not.
The carts do not have the foldable rain shield on the back of them, which is a big drawback for the price to play.
Consistently great experiences
I’ve played here at least once a month throughout the past year. Even in the winter months the course is in great shape. Yes it’s at the higher end of the price spectrum, but you get the value. Challenging layout, well maintained, great carts and friendly staff. It’s a top 3 course for a reason.
Cart path only - not good
We were told at the golf shop that it was 90 degrees, so we signed up to play 18. However, once on the fairway, the cart display would only allow "cart path only". Asking at the turn, we were told that it was indeed cart path only. Had we known, we would have signed up to play only 9 holes, I am 79 years old and can't walk that much to play a full 18. The play was also exceedingly slow. So we wound up playing only 15 holes.
