About
Rocky River Golf Club was carefully carved from lush, rolling hills and natural wetlands with the intent of preserving the beautiful terrain as much as possible. The course flows across the dramatic natural contours of the land, providing holes with plenty of elevation changes. Running alongside the rolling fairways are winding ribbons of native wetland grasses that weave through rocky outcroppings. Golfers shouldn't be surprised if they come across some of the wildlife that inhabits the course, which includes cranes, deer, and beavers. In addition to the stunning scenery, the golf course offers a challenging round. The large, contoured greens demand accurate iron play. Errant shots will find their way to the wetland areas or the patches of seeded fescue. In addition to the golf course, Rocky River offers a driving range with four target greens as well as a putting and chipping green.

Top 3 public track in CLT!
First time playing here, and I absolutely loved it. Scenery is great on the back 9, and the elevation changes are super fun. Greens rolled true, and bunkers were very well kept. Pace of play was a little slow (Sunday morning) which the starter actively monitored throughout the day and updated us every time we saw him (I saw the starter 7 times on different holes throughout the day). Only downside on this particular day was the range being closed for a race at the drag strip next door. My only advice would be check the schedule if you’d like to use the range, other than that I loved this course and I’ll be playing regularly moving forward.

When you can get on the course for a low price it is much worth it.
Slow play
Very disappointed in the pace of play. Had a 2:40 tee time and the starter told me they put a 2:35 in front of us- something about "last minute adjustment" BS.
Slow play.. even for evening.
The deal was 60 dollars for late afternoon golf. Granted you’re not going to get 18 holes in but this was beyond slow play and we barely got in 9. Not worth it with their online tee time purchases. Not to mention a tournament was going on and no one informed us to start off 10.
You could play this course everyday
You can play this course everyday and love it. It's not easy and that brumenda grass drives me nuts on missed fairways and chips around the greens. It sinks down and the grass grabs that club. You pay a price for missing greens and fairways. Play it and see for yourself.
Great course, fantastic service
From stepping into the club, the staff were super friendly and helpful, assisted with getting bags on cart.
The course was in great condition with really wide fairways. Greens were rolling well.

Course was in great condition. Wide fairways, but long and challenging - definitely not a driver-wedge on the par 4’s kind of course. Greens rolled medium, which is great for 12+ handicap golfers Tough pin placements. Would definitely play it again.

Rocky River is a great course. Not too difficult but still challenging. Lots of fun!

I love this course. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Pin placement was tough, too many three putts, must be able to handle these tough greens. . pace of play was great and to top if off we had perfect weather for golf. We had a Very , very enjoyable round
