LOVE this course. I've been playing for a little over a year and enjoy courses that are challenging but not ridiculous. Rocky River is in excellent shape, from tee boxes to greens. Friendly staff, nice range and putting area near the first tee, and good pace of play. Definitely worth the trip. Rush hour and/or race traffic can be a nightmare in that area, so plan accordingly!

Didn’t get to play, our flights were canceled and couldn’t make it out. The pro shop said we were all set with cancellation, but golf now charged me. $62 for nothing.

Course conditions are better than most other courses in the area. The greens and fairways are in good shape. There are some rough spots near the cart paths that need to be addressed. A little pricey, but some discounts are available on Golfnow. I play here now on a monthly basis.

I’ve played here many times, this time course was Terrible! Grass not cut in fairway well, one hole shut down due to green being destroyed. Pace of play is always bad. Food is terrible and 7.50 for a skinny generic hotdog! Won’t play here again unless I have to due to tee times at other courses. I play verdict ridge a lot and they know how to keep a course up and don’t charge crazy prices for everything! Also have free range balls which is great

Course is in good shape. Played on a hot day and had no water or beverage cart on the course.

Rocky River is a scenic and well maintained course. The layout is excellent with a good mix of challenging and risk reward holes. The elevation changes make it even more esthetically pleasing and add another layer of difficulty.

The greens roll true and are very quick for the most part. There were a couple of exceptions on the back nine that seemed to be slower than the rest of.the course but they did not affect our round.

Each member of the staff we encountered was very friendly a d helpful! The only possible negative we could give is that the water coolers on the course were empty. This was on a hot August afternoon. When we mentioned it to one of the staff we were told "there are no maintenance personnel around on Sundays to refill them". It is a little surprising, to me at least, that such a nice course would cut corners to this extent.

We teed off at 4:20 pm in early August for a ~60/person twilight round. The course is very well maintained for a muni. Not fast or tight by any means, but at least consistent from 1 through 18. Layout isn't anything special, everything's pretty much right in front of you and not much thought is required around shot choice.

As is typical for a muni, pace of play was slow, lots of newer/less-skilled golfers, and there were no marshals out to keep up the target 4:30 pace of play. We ended up finishing up just under 5 hours having played through 2 groups early on the back 9.

The course had water stations set up (I think 4?), but all but the first were empty by that point in the day, and the clubhouse was closed at 6:30 meaning we were stuck without extra water on a hot evening.

The course was in great shape especially the fairways and greens. Some of the tee boxes were shabby. Great layout, big jump in difficulty to the blues from the whites. Great scenery. Would definitely play again. Walking is not hard as there is not a lot of distance between holes.
