The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Over priced not with it!

On vacation in Corolla Beach very limited courses decided to play here. They didn’t provide balls at the driving range they give you a token you get 12 balls to warm up with the greens were trashed not taken care of. Of course conditions were fair overpriced for what it is, I’d look elsewhere.

Nice course - unplayable conditions

Delayed our tee time 10 mins or so so two carts could become available. First sign of trouble…where were all the carts?? On the course involves involved in creeping play pace. We played first two holes without any problem. Waited on third tee and every shot from there on in. Played in just over 5 hrs. Had to eat just outside course because all other resources were closed at 8:15 pm.

A tourist golf spot at best. Greens had good turf but were so soft and heavily played that putts were frequently bumped off line. Not worth the $150 twilight greens fee. Would recommend you enjoy the outer banks and skip the golf.

Our experience didn't match the cost

The course was challenging; it's unfortunate that the carts needed lots of maintenance (2 were not working from the start). Not worth the money

High End Price with Cheap Amenities

Went back here for the first time in about 10 years. Such a shame to see a once great course go downhill so much. When you are paying $200 per person for greens fees you don’t expect to get nickel and dimed on top of that. Range balls, tee, towels, and water bottles were all an additional charge. They got rid of their GPS, I guess it was too expensive along with all the other amenities you’d expect. The restaurant wasn’t open when we arrived. It opened right before our tee time but didn’t have any food ready for grab and go options at 7AM. The club/ball cleaner base rusted on the cart and had no water in it.

The course itself was still a great layout but more cost saving measures were apparent there as well. High bushes just in front of the teeing areas causing you to have to back up just to hit driver over it. The holes’ edges were rounded and brown, obvious they hadn’t been changed in a few days.

The topper was getting yelled at by the starter for going to the tee at 6:59. Our tee time was 7:00 but he hadn’t released us yet to leave the putting green.

Nice place

Greens were a little soft due to mid summer watering. Fairways were good. Greens putted ok in spite of being a little soft and slow. Overall experience was fine. I thought range balls not being included at a place on this level was a little tacky imo.

Great beach course

Fun course. Very challenging when windy but cool layout and great conditions. Well worth it. Only “gripe” is having to pay for range balls after already paying quite a bit for the round.

Pretty good but not worth it during season

It’s a nice and well laid out course but the greens are not in good shape for the premium try at you pay during the vacation season

Currituck Club

Overall, a very good day. Pace of play for most of the day was excellent. Due to high temperatures, staff came around offering cold towels and water refills. Course layout is good with interesting holes and changes in elevation for course on the beach. Several hole locations were cut in extremely severe slopes, which seemed out of character with rest of course/experience.

Not what it used to be #sad

Since they switched the 9's around the course has really gone downhill. Used to be a favorite to play during our beach trip each year... sad that after 10 years of playing this course we will NOT be playing it next year.

Simply not worth what they are charging!

Not worth the $$

Just ridiculous. Muni conditions. Fairways not mown in a few days, greens not mown either. Incredibly slow greens. Many tee boxes are nothing but dirt No beverage cart on a weekend. Want to hit balls before your round? That costs extra, despite a $200 green fee.
