The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Pretty good but not worth it during season

It’s a nice and well laid out course but the greens are not in good shape for the premium try at you pay during the vacation season

Currituck Club

Overall, a very good day. Pace of play for most of the day was excellent. Due to high temperatures, staff came around offering cold towels and water refills. Course layout is good with interesting holes and changes in elevation for course on the beach. Several hole locations were cut in extremely severe slopes, which seemed out of character with rest of course/experience.

Not what it used to be #sad

Since they switched the 9's around the course has really gone downhill. Used to be a favorite to play during our beach trip each year... sad that after 10 years of playing this course we will NOT be playing it next year.

Simply not worth what they are charging!

Not worth the $$

Just ridiculous. Muni conditions. Fairways not mown in a few days, greens not mown either. Incredibly slow greens. Many tee boxes are nothing but dirt No beverage cart on a weekend. Want to hit balls before your round? That costs extra, despite a $200 green fee.

Very poor value!

This course has beautiful clubhouse and practice facilities but once you get to the first hole the whole image changes. No matter where you ball lands the lie is always unplayable. The fairways is like rough and rough can be unplayable. The tees were a mess. On a few holes you could barely find your ball on a tee. The course has loads of potential but not sure they have mowers or grounds crew. Staff was great though and so was the service!

Another great round

Friendly staff and course in nice shape. Bathrooms unavailable on front nine, unfortunately we weren’t informed about this. A lot of building construction noise

Beautiful course

I hadn’t played this course in a few years, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it. Some holes were challenging while others allowed a mediocre golfer an opportunity to par. Only complaint was it was a very busy Saturday and they had NO cart girl. Also, the restrooms on front nine were completely out of order. I suppose April is early in the season; but with all the golfers that day; they missed out on making some extra money

Beautiful course

We love playing the Currituck Club. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the course itself is just beautiful as all the holes wind through the beautiful Currituck neighborhood. The greens play very true and the rest of the course is in great condition.
