The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

No negatives

I met a friend there to enjoy an afternoon .It was my first time playing there. A beautiful day. It was busy for late morning. Starter was informative and punctual. The course was in great shape. Usually windy at the outer banks, but today was manageable. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Great layout!

This is a great track. Conditions were excellent, aside from a couple of the tee boxes. The pace was slow. There seemed to be a lot of beginners and young kids on the course. I was paired with 2 guys that hadn’t played for very long, and they kept hitting a second ball when they hit a bad shot. Staff was friendly. Not a huge selection in the pro shop, but some nice stuff.

Definitely worth playing

1:06 tee time mid-August. Played in just over 4 hours. Great mix of long and short par 4s. A lot of memorable holes. Highly recommend playing.

Pace of play Is hilarious minimum 3 hour front 9 with carts that don’t have gps and no bev cart on the course 😂. 200$ green fee is pure robbery.

1,000 ballmarks on every green

Way too much money for a course with this poor of greens. Countless ball marks on every green. Not a good test of skill due to poor conditions.
