The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Course conditions were tough manly due to the fact Currituck has had winds from the NE for over 2 weeks. That wind direction makes growing grass hard

Our round was played in 3 hours flat, mainly because it is May. I have played here many times over the past summers and 5 hours is the norm, in spite of their pace of play and rangers on course, it gets backed up. Best to play off season

Dissapointed

If not for the disregard to the reserved tee time on golf now wasn't enough but the fact still remains that we had to play in and out of sprinklers all afternoon changing the course and how it plays. We were very disappointed. The course itself beautiful. Lack of respect for visitors and the snack bar / bar closing at 3:00 in the afternoon was enough to never go back. We would much rather pay full price at Kilmarlic than waste our money there again.

Beautiful Sound side course

This is a beautiful sound side course in Currituck, NC. The grounds are well maintained, yet the course is quite challenging as you do have elevation change, water hazards, narrow fairways, and deep rough. I would definitely play is course another day!

Private club feel but open to the public

The course held up great after heavy rains the day and night before we played. The greens were soft and receptive although a little slow and a little inconsistant. Pace of play was good as the starter used good judgement in seeding people off of 10. They were very accomodating allowing my wife and I to play alone even though there was a steady flow of players.

First time at Currituck

From the moment walking onto the property, the staff was fantastic---starter was full of history of the area. Play was occassionally slow at the beginning of the round based upon the routing of the holes, but it was fairly easy to get back into a decent rhythm. Wind was up on the day that I played, so the course could have some challenging shots into the wind. Condition for the end of September was fantastic---only negative I have is that the cart paths on parts of the back nine need some attention with cracked concrete---otherwise i definitely look forward to playing agian the next time I'm in the Outer Banks

This course was awesome.

Course was in fantastic condition. I would go back and play this course again. Definitely a win. No problem with the pace of play. If you are in Carolla, NC play this course. Tee boxes, Fairways, Greens, and Bunkers are perfect. Go to GolfNow and get the good rate.

Great course, but choose your tee time wisely.

We played Saturday around 2:40pm and finished 27 holes in about five hours. We played Wednesday, and even though the front was played twice and the tee sheet was curtailed, it took us 4.25-4.5 hours. If the sheet had been booked, we would have been looking at five hours, easily.

Course layout is very good. I liked that it was 5 minutes from our house in Corolla.
