The Currituck Club has a Rees Jones-designed layout that stands out from other Outer Banks courses, mostly thanks to its ideal location along the Currituck Sound. The golf course shares the landscape with an abundance of wildlife including deer, osprey, geese, and turtles. Golfers might even catch a glimpse of an eagle soaring overhead. The layout tumbles across rolling sand dunes and combined with the seaside location, the golf course offers a true links feel that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. The diverse coastal terrain is covered with maritime forests and wetlands. The holes are both challenging and scenic, especially the seventh through the ninth, which sit right along the Sound. The golf course also finishes on the Sound with a scenic closing stretch. Playing The Currituck Club right at sundown will provide unrivaled views.

Overpriced, in general

The Currituck Club is a nice course, with nice people running it, however, this course is not worth the $95-130 fee on a regular day this time of year (Sept.). Certain holes needed maintenance, a couple of fairways were browned out in spots, but overall, it is well maintained. While I would recommend this course, I would only say that if you get a good deal on the greens fees through golfnow.com or another discount site. Otherwise, move on to The Point or Carolina Club for a better value

Wish GolfNow could tell if greens punched/sanded?

Currituck could use an on course Ranger, friendlier staff and heads up on punched/sanded greens.

Greens in terrible shape.

Thankfully paid only $45 thru golfnow deal. I would have been disappointed if I paid going rate of 130. Greens were in terrible shape- ball marks, divots, bumps, etc.
Other cons: they charge you for range balls-for 130 bucks they ought to give you a small bucket.
Pros: staff friendly, pace of play was as advertised it not slightly better.
If you can get for 45-60 thru golfnow.com go for it- if not try someplace else.

Fairly well maintained, scenic, somewhat pricy without golfnow.

I enjoyed playing. A scenic fairly well maintained public course. Friendly staff. Without GolfNow would have been pricy.

Basic beach course

Nice layout, however poor greens made this a not so fun round. Divots galore, spike marks that looked metal and some of the slowest greens I've ever played on. Would not pay any more than $50 to play the course again in the condition it was in.

Great Value

One of the best courses I have played. We were able to get a hot deal for $60 a person, then got a free round with an online promo code. Played a $120 course for just $47 a person. Great deal!

Currituck Club

I have played this Rees Jones design several times. In my opinion, it is the best laid out course in the Outer Banks. On this trip, the greens were on the slower side but rolled true. The course was maintained well, although I have seen it in what I would described as pristine shape in the past.

Superb conditions with friendly staff add up!!

The Currituck Club offers a great layout with pristine conditions and a friendly professional staff, however all this doesn t add up to $160 per player. I was lucky enough to play for free utilizing golf now rewards program. I will say it is a must play if you can get a hot deal from golf now. The course itself poses some challenges with wind and water come into play. Greens were receptive so we were able to fire at the pins. The GPS offered was definitely an added plus providing us with yardages. Fairways were great and fast. Lots of scenic holes however I was disapointed the sound didn t come into play more . As you wind around the course you get the feeling as you get closer to the sound that some beautiful holes on the sound are approaching and it never happens. 2 holes with visual of sound but not in play. The staff was awesome from arrival to departure. Greeted as słoń as I arrived, bag taking care of, pro shop was happy to tale care of me even playing for free. Starter was professional and informativeand gote off quickly. Pace of play was 3.5 hours for
2 of us. I would definitely recommend this course but wait for a hot deal!!! Nags Head Links, Carolina Club and Kilmarlic give th a run for your money with better rates!!

The bayside layout was well integrated.

The course provide a challenging layout. The various tee boxes provided for a variety of player skills. The GPS golf carts were a great help in keeping the pace of play. I liked the electronic score keeping.

Great course

Course was beautiful, in great condition and handled a huge amount of rain during our round. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint is that many people that play this course do not repair their divots or ball marks.

Nice Track - convenient if you are staying in OBX.

I have played Currituck a few times over the years. It has a decent layout and some nice views. The greens were a little shaggy. Fairly generous fairways and greens. A well run course in Corolla. Worth playing. A little pricey at $160 and frankly not worth it but it is a resort course. Played at 1:15 for $115. Played Kilmarlic a few days before - less expensive and a nicer layout with great greens IMHO.

An excellent course for 24 handicappers like me

Greens were very plush and seemed to be very soft underfoot while allowing ball to roll faster than expected.
Green color was so uniform and deep that they could have been painted.
Contrary to most beach courses the fairways seemed wider than expected.
Even with the recent rains the fairways were not overly wet.
The expected water was there but did not cut excessively into the fairways nor wrap excessively around the front of greens nor were water obstacles too close to the greens.
Sand traps were in good condition and did not have extremely high banks around these traps.

Great course at the beach

This course is normally $130 to play in season. We were able to get it on Golf Now for just $65 at 2:30 pm. We were at the beach for the week and would normally drive south from Corolla NC 45 min to an hour to play some of the other beach courses that are generally a little better value. But for just $65 Currituck is a must play.

Great course, but not at full price.

This is a nice course, that is challenging, but playable. I wouldn't pay the full in season price, but got a great deal on GolfNow. Also, if you stay in Corolla, there are special deals. We were behind a very slow foursome that I don't think were ever told to pick up the pace. The screens in the golf carts were excellent giving pictures of holes, distances to hazards and you could even measure your driving distance. You don't see much of the ocean, but you feel the wind.

Must play

This is a must play if your in the obx. Course can play super tough from back tees with windy conditions. Only reason I don't give this a 5 star. Is because it's not on the pinehurst level I just played. However this is a great course with beautiful views. Greens play a lot slower than you think.

Great layout, disappointing greens

Currituck Club is a great layout. The winds make many of the holes even more challenging. The greens condition was very disappointing. They were in good shape, but very, very long (and slow). Some large/sloped greens, magnified the issue. The texture of the greens reminded me of the mats you hit off a driving range. Even with the greens condition, I would gladly play again.
