I have played Cedarbrook several times in the past with friends from NC and had always been in very good condition. Played today and the fairways were pretty good but most of the tee boxes were bare and the greens were SUPER slow and several were in bad condition. The staff was friendly as usual.
Fairways and greens in rough shape compared to typical standards.
Not the Best
Greens were patchy and extremely slow. Tee boxes were hit or miss whether they contained grass or not. A lot of side hill, down hill lies.
Okay
Descent value for the money, but definitely not a top tier course. Greens were spotty and the slowest I’ve ever played. Tee boxes were hit or miss with grass.
Overrated
Too many blind tee shots. Tee boxes have no grass. Numerous wet areas you have to avoid. Greens were bumpy with bare spots and lots of old ball marks. Greens were slow but that actually helps because of some severe slopes. Fairways were pretty good. 4.6 is highly overrated for this course. Cross Creek, Pilot Knob and Old Beau are better
Mystery Greens
Played numerous times with the greens always being the make or break of this course. This time greens ok with some having some bare spots in places on some holes with inconsistent speeds.. The course has many blind shots and many short dogleg par 4s and several greens like hole nine that are not really easy to two putt without an exceptional second shot. Overall a decent course for a fun day.
Hidden Gem
I really don’t want to say great things about this course because I want it all to myself but I love this course!!!!!

Every time we go to Cedarbrook the experience is great. Staff is always friendly and course is beautiful. Thanks for the time away from all world issues.
Great course
There are some fun holes and a few challenging holes, but I really enjoy this course.
