Baywood
I have played this course for years it is in the best shape I have ever seen. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to play
tight but fair
Hole number three is a par five a great chance for an eagle or a disappointing bogey ! fun course .
18 hole round on a well maintained and fun course
I like this course very much. it is well maintained and the staff is very friendly, also food items are not to expensive.
Good course to catch hot deal.
Well kept course! Somewhat challenging for an average player. Rough grass is thick and can easily swallow a ball making it difficult to find. Water hazards can sneak up on you if you are a first time player here. Recommend studying course prior to play for that reason. An outstanding course to better your short game. All in all an easy 4 out of 5 stars.
Hidden gem
1st time playing this course and was pleasantly surprised. We played he morning after tropical storm hermine rolled through here and the course drained well and played very dry.
For a Saturday, the pace of play was awesome. We were a twosome that finished in just under three hours.
The greens are impressive for this late in the summer.
Overall we had a great day, couldn't beat the golfnow hot-deals for this course.
Very happy.
The price were nice,Thank, will use GolfNow again.
Great Value
I haven't played here in a couple of years because of course conditions compared to price to play.I decided to give it another try since the golfnow price was what the course was worth the last time I played. To my surprise the overall course conditions are the best I've seen in this area in quite some time. Only complaints I would have is the bunkers need a few more inches of Good sand to get out of properly. Also no sand bottles to fix my divots from lousy shots lol . Overall a good experience and I will definitely be back again. As a side note there is water everywhere so bring some extra balls just to be safe!
Great Value...Awesome staff!
Very nice course overall. Not perfect, but in above average shape. Staff is super friendly and that alone makes you want to come back. Course was better than expected and super value and that was with regular Golfnow price...not a hot deal. Greens looking really good and roll true. Worth the ride!
Very very slow play!
They let a group of 7 in front of us and a foursome that took forever. Longest round I've ever played. They paired our twosome with 2 hackers and totally messed our day up. Won't be back.
Terrible greens
The course wasn't in awful shape but my review is because the greens had weeds growing in all of them. They really needed a good mowing to smooth them out, plus the driving range was in terrible shape, minus the range balls. However, the staff was very friendly and the carts were really nice. I would recommend this course based off of the price and potential.
Baywood GC.......not good.
I do not complain about golf courses. My friends know that I say "there isn't a bad golf course....only bad golfers ;)". Today I learned that.....YES! there are BAD GOLF COURSES. Baywood GC should not be on the Golfnow choices for places to play golf. It is dried up, weeds on the tee boxes, and the greens.......are HORRIBLE! This is my first time playing the course and I can say I will never go back. I get spoiled with some of the EXCELLENT courses that Golfnow provides, but you should take another look at Baywood before offering it on your selection list for the Fayetteville NC area. My EXCELLENT rating on "pace of play" is there because.....NO ONE WAS ON THE COURSE?!!
This course has great features
~~~************~~~~~
good course
Byob
The course is nice, majority of the holes are straight away, easy enough right ... just watch out for the water lol. The food is good.... BUT 6pk $11, byob
May want to ask if you'll be smack dab in the middle of a tournament
Played as a two-some on an absolutely beautiful NC day. Was directed to go off back nine at club house and found out why afterwards. Course was in decent shape with bunkers in very good condition. Greens though were REALLY bumpy making putts an adventure. Course can be pretty tight on some holes so beware of water at times on both sides of the fairways.
Pace was really good until we caught up with a local charity tournament that was in progress. Realized at that point that we had been "squeezed" on to course in a gap they had between the two major chunks of players. (Hmmm...maybe that's why they gave us a cart with two players names and starting tee hole card hanging on the visor) Pace of play then went straight to "hey welcome to 5-6 hr round" speed. Had multiple times where we had up to 3 groups waiting at tee boxes...NOT GOOD!
Overall would recommend course based on GN Hot Deal price but with the caveat of making sure you aren't getting shoe horned in like they did with us.
Decent
The greens are in bad shape currently because they were "plugged" about a month ago. Due to that fact, there is absolutely no consistency with your putting. The rest of the course is in okay shape.
Course Needs TLC
I have played this course many times in the past and enjoyed it, but some serious attention needs to be paid to the course by the staff. Greens had been punched, but they looked almost fried which had nothing to do with aerification and fairways thin and bare in most spots. Seems this year all but one course (CL)in Cumberland County is in poor to terrible shape. Save your money, I wouldn't play here again for a $5 hot deal on GN.
only me
although the course could use some rain not in bad condition I was the only one on the course as it was so hot and humid but I pushed through in less than four hours. Good rolls gave good score not overly tough.
Great day on the course
I was cautious booking a tee time at the course because of some mixed reviews, but was glad that I did. The course was great and challenging, water on both sides of a lot of the holes. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It was about to start to rain and they swapped out our cart to give us on that had a cover so our clubs and bags wouldn't get wet. I also forgot my towels for the clubs and they allowed me to borrow some for the day. Already booked another tee time, can't wait to come back.
Worth The Money
Staff wasn't too friendly and the clubhouse is lacking. The course is pretty good, wide open and fun. A couple of the par 5s you'll need to hit 3 iron or very accurate hybrid from the tee and then you'll be set up with a 200 or less shot into the green. Fairways were ok and greens were in good shape. I paid $17 and it was worth it. The back 9 is interesting and you'll use most of your clubs. If you drive the ball 250 plus then play from the back tees.
Nice course
The slow pace caused this experience to be down graded tremendously. Golfers were allowed to play a fivesome in front of us.
