About
Bear Creek Golf Club is one of the courses that makes Hilton Head Island one of the country's most popular golf destinations. Rees Jones designed the course, routing the layout through majestic pines and sparkling blue lagoons. Jones kept much of the existing landscape intact, earning the golf course Audubon certification. There are five sets of tees total, with the longest stretching over 6,800 yards. It's a course that players of all skill levels can enjoy regardless of handicap. The tight, bunkered fairways are an infamous feature of the course but Bear Creek is also known for having some of the best greens on Hilton Head Island. The finishing hole is the course's signature. You'll have to navigate your way past a narrow chute of pines to reach the green, which is fronted by a large lagoon.

Good for the money!
An excellent value course with a helpful, courteous staff. The greens were in great condition.
Nice Layout a Little worn
Have played a number of times and like the layout, good number of par 4s and a mean 18th hole. The course did seem to be a little worn
Could be great
The greens are very good, the fairways are average and the tees are poor. It seems that is obviously the priority of the economics.
Really nice golf course. Hope to play there again.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Course was in great shape and pace of play comfortable. Would play there again.

Course was in great shape for this time of year. They needed the staff to blow off the pine needles and leaves, some holes were unplayable putting through the debris. And we had a 10:30 tee time. Don't know if the greens were cut. Tended in the morning.

Golf now good price nice course
Golf now and the course provided an opportunity to play a nice course for around $100.00 hard to find on Hilton Head island. Nice course in descent condition for all levels of play.

Highly Exceeded Expectations!
Can’t say enough about the Friendliness and Professionalism of the Staff at Bear Creek! We were rained out on Tuesday afternoon and they accommodated us with a rain check on Thursday. The course was in great shape and the course lay out is very nice. This course is well worth playing!

Really enjoyed playing Bear Creek
My son amd I had a great time playing here. The fairways were in great shape. Somewhere over half of the greens had been aerated and sanded but it's got to happen sometime. The people wee super nice and the whole course is picturesque. We were visiting from Atlanta and would definitely play there again.
