Ventura Country Club

Golf pass did NOT inform anyone that they were working on the tee boxes so the course played to ~3500 yds. waste of money.

This was a very nice course. Open links on serval holes and some nice landscaping. Unfortunately the pace of play wasn’t as expected… they allowed a group of 12 play together which made pace extremely slow …. Over 5 hours to play nine ! Yikes ! We were paired with a couple of guys who had handicap of less than 10 which made the round challenging and yet fun, especially with 20 mile a hour winds ! Staff very friendly. Would recommend course

Unfortunately they were over seeding the tee boxes so was improvised tee boxes at the beginning for the fairway but they gave me a pretty big discount because of that. Course is in good shape coming out of the summer. There was a group of 4 in front of me who were really nice and let me play through. I could tell the course would be fun from the normal tees and was still fun from the fairway. Above average rental clubs.

We attempted to check in at the club house! There were two people behind the counter, one of them was on the telephone and spoke for several minutes. The older gentleman never acknowledged us until several minutes later and his customer service skills were very poor and not friendly at all! Didn’t feel welcome at all.. This was my first time playing there and won’t be back!!

Nice track. Greens had just been aerated and this was not listed on GolfNow mobile, so was surprised to find out when we arrived, This is more an issue for GolfNow than Ventura. Greens still ran pretty good, Pace was great until we ran into 4 old-timers on 15 who had no sense of pace and held up the entire field and occasionally let someone through. Probably members/regulars based on their attitude. Kind of threw us off our rhythm and we had our worst 3 holes of the round. Poor ending to a great day.

Ventura is usually a solid and fun day of golf, but not this time. They are in the middle of construction work on the clubhouse and liaison communications bet clubhouse and cart barn week. Green’s have fallen into deep problems. Can’t recommend course. Right now… sad

Nice track although short for longer hitters. Great set up. Course was in good shape for time of year. Only downside was foursome in front who lacked etiquette and fell at least 1 hole behind and dragged round out while we watched them consistently hit shots 20-30 years. Potentially Marshall would have been able to move them along. Course of this length should be well under 4 hours.

Loved the layout and the people here, but the clubhouse area is under construction which can be a little chaotic when moving around there. Our one complaint was the lack of any kind of range. There was a nice putting and chipping area, but you have to get back in your personal vehicle and drive a couple of minutes away from the clubhouse to use the range.

Course conditions were good, with pretty quick greens that were well maintained and fairly difficult pin locations.

Played 10/15/26 and we were really impressed. The course was dry, greens in great condition and the staff friendly. The course was quiet so got round in just over 3 1/4 hours. We will certainly be back.

Well maintained. Good layout. No Marshall and it took 5 1/2 hours on a Monday morning.

Played last year and again this year. Got a fair price on GolfNow and it was well worth the price. We had to use cart path only because the course was so wet, which wasn’t ideal either for our energy or the course conditions. And it was a very very hot day so the last 3 - 4 holes were a bit draggy. But we survived. Absolutely would play again.

I recommend this course to other golfers. Its by far in greater shape than most other courses around Orlando.

I hadn’t played here in almost two years. I was afraid with all the rain that the course would be muddy. I was very pleasantly surprised with course conditions. The course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. Go play it. You won’t be disappointed

I liked everything about playing here except I wish I had the course layout. There was few surprises like water just over a rise in the fairway. I’m sure I will score better the next time.

Nothing fancy here, but consistent greens, playable layout and a few memorable holes. Great value and wouldn’t hesitate to play next time I’m in town.
