Opened in 1929, Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana is Orange County's oldest public golf course. It is a challenging layout that has garnered a quite a following over the years. The course features wide fairways and large greens that offer ample room. There aren’t any water hazards a few strategically placed sand traps come into play and there are also mature trees lining the fairways. Golfers will get to practice a variety of different shots on this course. It is player-friendly enough for high-handicappers but there are still some challenges for low handicappers. The excellent condition of the greens and fairways are inviting no matter what your skill level. In addition to the golf course, Willowick also offers a grass driving range and three practice putting greens.

Very friendly staff
The green is awesome.
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Keep up good work guys.
The course is getting a lot better than before.
It is still need some improvement of the fairway.
Some area of the fairway very bouncing and rough.
Course
Course is very good but bumpy for golfcarts....however staffs are very greatful and cool
Fairways??
Some of the bumpies fairways I have seen. Sand traps are not good. Can’t Believe the course is a Troon course.
Open golf for a great price!!
I had heard about this course while playing at some other locations so I wanted to try it out. I was lucky enough to get a hot deal on GolfNow so that made it even better.
The pro shop guy was extremely nice and a pleasure to deal with!!! The golf course was wide open and cut down so there were very few lost balls. We started at 11:00 and finished at 3:00 so I'll take 4 hours for a round anytime!!
For the money, this is one of the best course to play in Orange County....definitely going back!!
Kudos
They have really done something nice with the place. Good for them. The Wick was known as being too rough to play for many years. Too many vagrants and rubbish to play a decent 18 holes. But the new mgmt has really stepped up. I thought the greens were in phenomenal shape! This is one of the best values you can find for the $$
Better than I thought S
I read review was saying it is bad condition of fairway and not a good course to play.
But it was ok for me. But little risky of narrow between hole to hole . Gotta be careful with head up
Not all your fault
Probably should have known why the golf now rate was 25 bucks because the course was punching the greens that day all they had open was the back nine with long unmowed greens. Can't blame it all on willowick but the golf now pricing does not intimate that the greens are being punched. Coarse conditions are raw. Even in the best of times. You need a kidney belt riding around on a cart because the fairway is and rough's are so bumpy
