This course is very challenging

This was my first time playing Deer Island, and let me just say you won’t be disappointed the wildlife is a bonus the course is in very good condition when we start getting some rain Deer island will go from a 5 star to a 5 plus, plus star course I can’t say enough the staff, the starter who gave a us detailed run down of how to play certain holes and he was spot on, it was well worth the 1:45 min drive from New Port Richey Fl I’ll be back along with my friends . I could go on and on, finally the price was half of what we normally pay for a less quality course. Two thumbs up

Great Layout - ok conditions

Friendly staff course was backed up for large morning group- they offered a few free drinks for our trouble great touch. Course layout is great , conditions were fair with some rough spots green side and around bunkers. Would play again.

Very Good Conditions

Greens in pretty good shape other than a few spots on a few holes. But definitely super slow. I only play on weekends so I’m thinking they just don’t cut them on the weekends. Frustrating.

Fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes are all pretty good as well. Course is headed in the right direction. I’ll be back. Good value.

Water Water everywhere

I have played Deer Island for decades but this maybe it’s best condition ever. Tee boxes and fairways were lush. The greens were a little slow but rolled so true. My out of town guests were thrilled with their experience.

Favorite hidden gem, but slower greens than usual

Love this course. Awesome design and friendly staff. Greens were slower than previous rounds here but it looked like they may have recently aerated. Hopefully just getting ready for summer. Clubhouse food was excellent.
