Great Value
Good course. Receptive to play, not tough but not easy.
Improving daily
This course suffered with the water restrictions. Since then, it has been improving daily. The staff seems to be working nonstop on restoring it to its former condition. The greens are fast! Its a beautiful layout! Tons of fun.
Big Cat Plays Easy
Tigers is a great fun layout for mid to higher handicap players. Some tee boxes were dried out and one fairway was being reworked. Overall in a serious drought year I feel the course was as good as it could be expected. Greens were true and firm. If you are looking for a great course and a reasonable price, definitely try your hand at the Tigers Eye!
Best part was the discount..
If i had to pay full price for that experience, I would be severely upset. Playing partner had played there before and had high hopes. We initially saw it for over $100 a player, and thankfully I found it on GolfNow for $60 each. Even at $60 that course was not worth it.
Conditions were awful.. sections of fairway that were longer than the rough, not a single well maintained tee box. The waste areas were raked and had decent sand, meanwhile the greenside bunkers were untouched.. how do you have a waste area with fluffy sand, and the greenside bunker on #9 right by the clubhouse was literally like hitting off a landscaping stone.. the greens were alright, nothing to write home about but at least they have somewhat consistent grass unlike the rest of each hole.

First Time impressions
To be honest, the course was in-flux due to repairs and weather conditions. However, the staff made this a point up front at check in. The greens however, were in great shape in my opinion. I did have the fastest electric golf cart that I’ve been in and that was kind of fun and helped with pace of play as it is a good distance between greens and tee boxes. If you want a great casual round, then now is good time as the course conditions won’t be too upsetting to you. A drought is a drought and nothing they can do., so make the most of it. I’d play it again.

The greens were good. The tees and fairways were definitely recovering from a tough summer. Starters and proshop were very helpful and friendly. I would play again.

BAAAAD Conditions!
I played the other 3 O.R. courses. The only one in good shape is Leopard’s Chase. Tiger’s Eye is in horrible shape (see pics). Tee boxes = very bad. Fairways = as poor as I’ve ever played. The worst. I will not recommend or play this course again until they fix it. It does have potential. The greens were in okay condition. The bunkers were hard as dirt.

Recovering
We always loved this course and enjoy playing here. The course had some burnt out spots from this summers drought, but in general is recovering fairly well. Some tee boxes could definitely use work, but the green were in good shape which is most important to me. The front nine was a little slow, but the back nine played quickly. Don't know if some only played nine or stopped for lunch, but we didn't have to wait.

Tiger’s Eye
Based upon reviews earlier this year after drought conditions, my expectations were low. However, the course was in good condition; the staff were welcoming; facilities were great. Good value for the money. We’ll try some of the other Big Cat courses, but we enjoyed Tiger’s Eye!

Responding to the recent rain
The course has been very dry and patchy due to the drought. With the recent rain, the course is greening up. Still some dry patchy spots but maintenance is working diligently to bring it up to its potential.

Our area has been under a drought of historic proportion, the 3rd most severe in recorded history at this point and this has required us to manage our very limited water supply carefully. With that said, we are taking great measures to improve Tiger's Eye quickly. A significant sod project is underway at this moment, which will pay immediate dividends. We are preparing to overseed all weak areas and, assuming we are able to get even a little rainfall, the course will be in very good condition as we move forward.
