Westchester Golf Course

Old man Chris at the desk is rude and the maintenance guy berate people and over charge for services they can’t provide

I wanted to like this course but pace of play was horrible. Course is tight and there is no golf etiquette amongst players.

I think it’s a good beginners course, I went there because it was close to my hotel, I was in a business trip…and realized it was a short course that same day I got there.

The course is excellent and the pace on the front 9 is normally a bit slow but it picks up on the back

I’ve played this course on and off for the last 20 years. Weekdays are great but weekend is impossible to have a round that moves at a good pace. Too many inconsiderate beginners. The staff is great/nice aside from one rude older gentleman (who looks like Mr. Burns) and the course conditions are generally great. Greens are fast, but it keeps the place fun and challenging.

If you're looking to get a quick round in, look elsewhere. If you have time for a long round, go for it. Night golf is cool if you can keep it on the fairways or hit the greens. Otherwise glow balls are a must. If you need balls, go early morning and find balls others have lost the night before .

Honestly I haven’t played this track in a long time. Over 5 years. I played today with my wife( her first time playing 18). Honestly it was way better than I had hoped. Started early at 540 but never felt pressure from the group behind us. It was way nicer and easier than I remembered. Just started playing again and shot a 77. My wife just wasn’t putting but still finished 14 holes. We even stopped for breakfast at the cafe. (First time ever doing that). We ate and then jumped back in and still no pressure. I felt pace of play was great. We finished started at 540am and ended at 915. The course was way easier than I remember and it looked way better too!

The course is what you would expect for a high volume play muni. The tee boxes were in horrible condition.

Keep your head on a swivel, as balls are coming from all directions.

We had a group behind us who kept hitting into us, not waiting until we moved our carts to the next whole. It was slow play it was not like we were going anywhere. When we asked the group nicely to stop hitting into us and to wait until we clear. Their responses where "We yelled fore!" and "We haven't hit you yet!" and "We have watched you all play and your &^%$# golfers" I guess you can't fix stupid and I am mad at myself for saying anything. I need to remember on courses like this people just don't care, the course doesn't care and people are just plan rude.

I will only play here again as a last resort.
