Excellent hidden gem
First time playing will nowlt me the last. Awesome course start to finish
Unbelievable value!
I’ve played this course several times and it continues to impress . The condition of the course is excellent and due to its location provides year round playability when others would struggle. One of the best courses in Northern Ireland at a very reasonable price.
Beautiful course
Beautiful course, fantastic hole design, long par 5's, scramble par 4's, par 3's that are so fun in the wind. We had some atrocious weather and couldn't finish the round because of a thunderstorm that would have rendered any course under water, but scrabo kindly allowed us to return at a later date on a clearer day and we can't wait
Challenging
First time playing scrabo. Very challenging course but worth having a go if you are looking for something more up market. Scenery probably best in County Down. Bring plenty of balls with you… you’ll need them
10/10 nothing to complain about
Hilly but good variety
Great day of weather and golf. Course in excellent condition, despite greens just sanded. Variety of holes and quite challenging. Some holes difficult to predict without playing the course but would defo recommend. Be prepared for hills up and down regularly. Stunning views on a warm day. Special mention to Laura in the Office who kindly changed our tee time, much appreciated
More open than expected
Great course. Challenging throughout. Will be back. A few crossovers
Course should of been closed
Needed a jetski never mind golf clubs and to not get told about condition of the course shocking played 1 hole had walk off
Beautiful tricky course
Extremely tricky course with a lot of hills. However, in brilliant condition and beautiful scenes
Scrabo
Course is in great shape played at 2pm not a lot playing around that time chance to take it at ur own pace and the view from some the holes is outstanding
A beautiful but tough course
If I played this course regularly it would be 5 stars. But for a Golf Now member who plays different courses this course is a tricky one to fully recommend. Why? Its one of those courses you need to play at least 5 times to know how to play it. It really is a brilliant course. Very hilly, very challenging, very well kept, amazing views and plenty of variety. But if you're not playing with a member and it's your first time then make sure you have a dozen balls with you. You'll realise after about 3 holes that you should take at least a club less off the tee. Particularly the par 4s and downhill par 3s. It's so punishing if you're evening marginly offline for the first 7/8 holes. I'll definitely go back because I want to try and lose less balls! I wasn't even playing that badly lol.
Not for the faint hearted
Lovely course in great condition. Quite a difficult course if you don’t hit them straight. Quite hilly. A lot of blind shots that you think you hit ok only to go over a hill and have no idea where your ball is. Scenery is spectacular . And a few more signs for next hole etc would be helpful. But great course and would definitely go back.
Amazing place!
The views unreal! Staff were friendly and helpful. Gave good information on course especially some of the trick holes. Overall from start to end probably my best experience on a golf course. Definitely will be planning a trip to play again!
great course, very hilly.
Great course, play it once a week and as much as it is a challenging and fun course, it is very hilly. Would definitely recommend a cart as the back 9 is very difficult after an already difficult round especially 15-18. All in all I throughly enjoy this course and 100% will be back often.
There's a few hills
Lovely course with some stunning views. A definite challenge, and quite unforgiving if you stray too far from the short stuff. Greens were in great nick and running well. A thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. One word of caution, it is quite hilly, with the last few holes being a bit of a test on already tired legs. Might be worth investing in a buggy!
