About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Golfer Reviews
Hot Deal Value
This course is fairly great. I had fairly low expectations from reading other reviews, but still wanted to give it a shot. I was able to get a hot deal for 30% off so value is based off a discount. The teeboxes, fairways, greens were in good shape. Knocking some points off for locked bathrooms on hole 11 and the amount of leaves makes it easy to lose a ball. My favorite parts are the difficulty with the amount of water and the cool bunkers guarding almost every hole.
Rebuilt Hollywood course
I played this course for the first time since it's been rebuilt and I really enjoyed it. Iwas pleasantlysurprised to see how nice it turned out. I was a littledisappointedwith some of the greens having bare spots in them beinganew courseand all. The old coursewas in really bad shape in the end but I always enjoyed playingthere anyway. Glad I was able to try it out. Hopefullythey can kerp itin bettershspe thanbefore. .
The Truman Show golf course
A tragically generic golf course. Zero character and zero enjoyment. Most of the trees have been cut down leaving you to play in a barren wasteland, which is unfortunate during hot sunny days in South Florida. Every hole is a cookie cutter straight par four or five. The par 3s even feel the same. You go around a circle twice, with cars always on the left side through the front nine. Even the clubhouse is uninspiring. The fact that they are charging over $100 for this course is criminal. A great example of this post Covid country we live in, where everything costs more and is way lower quality. This is the first and last time my group will play here, as there are plenty of other courses that are cheaper and more enjoyable in the area.
Hollywood let down
Course is bland. Every hole is straight straight straight. Nothing varied. The fairways are side by side with no room to spare. Course looks like they had room for 9 holes, but squeezed 18 out of the acerage. This at a cost of 60 bucks.
A walk back in time
during the y2k era this course was on my groups list of courses basically because it was a Donald Ross. Not the current rendition greens are tight and roll well, fairways r still lush, a lot of sneaky water hazards makes scoring tough overall the approach to the greens are elevated to add difficulty but in my mind the slope is in need of adjusting.
Just Go
In my opinion, it’s a golf course located right by the sea, which means it gets very windy. I loved it because I could really play around with the wind and my choice of clubs. If you’re in the Hollywood area, I’d recommend it—though you shouldn't expect perfect grass everywhere, given the consistently hot climate
Super Renovation
Course was in great shape. I would like the greens to be faster. But overall a very nice place with good vibe. They did a fantastic job with the renovation. So much better than it was before.
Excellent Layout and great staff
First time playing here and it was great all around. Staff is excellent and course is well maintained.
Staff doesnt care if Sprinklers go off while youre playing
My boyfriend and I literally got DECKED in the face by sprinklers while we were putting, forcing us to skip 2 holes and our hair and outfits were COMPLETELY soaked - making it sooo uncomfortable to play. We -very kindly- requested for management to reach out to us the following day but never heard back.. Course is nice but staff does not care about you
Soft opening in progress
Just 5 weeks after renovation. The layout is nice ( given the space limitations). And fairways and greens are in progress. Two things they need to address are:
- they booked TOO many singles. We had 7 singles catching up to us, we let them play through. In one hole , there were 3 singles waiting for us. They should have paired them. I think they didn’t have starter and ranger for the shift.
- when ready to tee off on 10, a group of kids was on 1, playing barefoot, many first time and they were on our fairway and had to wait for t5 min to get out of the way.
Given the location, it seems this course will be catering to tourists just looking to have something “fun “ to do
Good Golf Course
It was my first time there. They have reopened on April 26. The golf course is in good conditions. Probably the greens a little bit slow, but some holes are very challenge with water every where. I will come
Back.
They steal your money
$100+ for this course is robbery. Slowest pace of play, they do not have enough carts, miss a fairway you are automatically hitting another group. No range greens are slow. Service is nice but man does this place just take your money. Not even worth half of what they are charging.
GOLF BALLS HITTING CARS and almost people

Hollywood Beach GC
I have played this course for about five years
And I loved it. But this year I played it twice first and my last. They said that they are shutting it down to redo it in two weeks, I felt it should have been close down already. I paid $30 for tee boxes that was no grass just dirt into brown Sandy fairways on to unrolled burnt greens
Very disappointed 😢
Honest staff
Came here to play their twilight 330 and the course wasn't packed the pace was good. Tee boxes were kinda rough but you the guys in front of my were taking their carts all that up to the box so go figure..... The layout wasn't bad and fairways were kept pretty good but the greens were tough and hard. Finished my round and forgot my wallet in my cart. I called back the next day and the pro let me know they had it. HONEST STAFF they called in the morning and left a message as well cause they found one of my cards in my wallet. Nothing was missing and even tipped the starter for going above and beyond.
