Legends Golf & Country Club

This was my first time playing Legends since it reopened for play. In fact, this was one of my favorite tracks for many years before it closed. The "new" Legends did not disappoint! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly staff member, Jeff, who met me in the parking lot, loaded my bag onto his cart and then drove me to my cart at the pro shop, then re-loaded my bag onto my cart. The courtesies didn't stop there. From Noel, in the Pro Shop to the Starter (I forget his name), the high quality of service did not falter. Now, onto the course: in a word: Pristine! The fairways were perfect, bunkers raked and the sand was fluffy, greens rolled nice and true, through all 18 holes. If there were any glitches in the day, it had to do with the fact that a few fairways were still wet from the heavy rains in the area on the previous days, so extra precautions were in effect for those holes (2, 3, 5, 7 & 11, if I remember correctly). Because of this, and the way that the carts are programmed, I found myself temporarily trapped on the first 2 gated fairways, but a quick call to the Noel in the pro shop cleared up whatever frustrations that I might have been having - once I understood the procedure, it was smooth sailing after that. This overall quality - from staff to course, is what you'd expect from top-tier, fancy (super expensive) courses. They're doing an excellent job there and it clearly shows. Needless to say, Legends is at the top of my playlist again - it's as if I never left. Words of advice: Go play it!

The course was in great shape. The rough made it challenging. Bunkers were raked and the greens were soft, but they're pretty quick.

No beverage cart but ice was in the carts and water/ice machines were available at the restrooms.

Legends is always a fun course with some challenging elevation changes. Course rewards you for good shots. Greens are slick but in good shape! Some patchy spots in the fairway but overall a well kept course!

Third time playing this course.

Don't think the rough was that deep. I'm guessing it had been recently cut because of all the big clumps of dead grass but still very thick.

My fault for not staying in the fairway.

The course has had a lot of rain on it. It's holding up quite well but there are a number of very soft areas. Greens are in great shape. Really welcoming staff.

Great course, great layout, great conditions. You better bring snacks because they dont have anything. No beverage cart on the course or even a pit stop after hole nine.

Greens are much improved and getting back to what we expect at Legends. Fairways need some work.

Course is in horrible condition. Have played here several times over the years and can honestly say this looks like it did before it closed last time. Super thin fairways and tee boxes. A lot of bare/dirt spots. Unraked bunkers. Evan mowed “fairways” are just clumps of grass. I realize the heat wave going on but this is by far the worst conditions of any local courses.

Not in the best shape, very nice layout with some challenging holes.

But some TLC is needed.

Great track but the conditions are not good right now. Greens are in good shape but every where else is horrible. Clubhouse closed and no beverage cart. Too many other options in Central FL to accept the current situation at this course.
