Good course for 15 and over handicap
I found the course very playable and even reasonable from the longest tees at 6200yds with a 120? slope. You'll only get into trouble on your own, very list forced carry that I recall. Playable for a wide range of abilities makes it a great family course.
Dry course
Course condition kinda poor with very dry conditions but greens were fine. Very crowded on Sunday
What a gem
Course is in fantastic shape.
Fun and forgiving layout
A bit short for me but my 65 year old dad loved it
Tips are 6100
Made for a super enjoyable day
Only thing … bag shop staff where less than friendly or welcoming . Felt like we inconvenienced them the check in and buy a few beers.
Starter on the other hand was lovely to chat with
Will be back !
Slow slow slow
Got tees times from Golf now. Got there early headed out to the tee. Started out is with another great couple. Who tee time was just before ours great now we have 4. He left
New starter show up and asked what are tee times were. Which were already past and says these guys who were late for their tee time are going ahead of you. So I pull my tee and ball ball and let them hit. They were to be playing with the twosomes in front of us.
Long story short 5 1/2 hours for a round of golf . No Marshall to be found no cart person for drinks.. this is a Saturday.
Good course
Good pace. Course seemed full. No beverage cart and temperature in high 90’s.
Good value
Great course, rolling terrain, always a pleasure to return.
Green where a bit bumpy, not sure if it's the time of year. No real clubhouse for post golf but a great track just the same.
Nice course
My wife (beginner) and myself (mid-handicap) played on a Thursday afternoon. Staff was friendly and the starter gave us a good overview of where the on-course amenities and how to drive between the holes since we had never been here before and it winds through a residential neighborhood. We had no issues staying on the course and getting between holes.
One question we had before driving there was where to check in since map applications show both Community Center and a Golf Pro shop. Check in is right inside the main gate on the left (not up the hill where the Pro Shop is shown).
We had a good time and most fairways were in good shape. The rough was very dry. They will challenge you with pin locations.
The course is relatively short (6179 from the tips) and will make you think about your tee shot due to how tight some of the holes are. It is shorter because several par 4s are under 400 yards but if you can't put your driver inside a 30 yard dispersion circle you are better off hitting something shorter and more accurate. You can still hit the green in regulation with two iron shots. If you love your driver there are still several holes you can unleash it without fear of ending in in someone's house.
First time here
Course is well maintained. Lack of a refreshment cart on course was disappointing. We will come back.
Disappointing: potential to be much better
A good layout, very friendly pro shop, looked great, but then very dusappointing. The greens lacked being watered, some of the pin positions were like Augusta on day 4. Very hilly and made it very challenging. Great opportunity to make the course so much better, with investment in watering on greens and fairways, so more grass on both. Would then be a good test of golf. I did provide the above feedback very respectfully to the pro shop after my round and I hope the opportunities are taken to really make this a lovely course.
Disappointing: Has the Potential to be so much better
Very friendly staff, good design, greens so disappointing as very hard, not sure when watered and pin positions on hills and big hilly slopes. This course could be so much better with more investment in maintenance, watering the greens and improving the fairways and areas around the greens. For example Highlands Reserve have just done this and the course is the best I have played it since 2009, as it was in a similar condition to this course today before the investment. I play it at least 5 times per year. Plus of course lots of other courses. I did provide respectful feedback to the pro at the end of our round today, so I hope this is all positively received.
Excellent course
We really enjoyed the course. The layout was great and fairways had good room, tee’s were great for both the advanced golfers in our group and then closest tees were great for the beginner. The greens were tough and fast
Great topography; great views.
Could not believe how hilly (mild hills, but, hills) the course is and beautiful views from anywhere on the course. Considering the dry season fairways and greens were green enough or more green than other courses in similar price range. I enjoyed this course.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, KimMaz! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course.
