The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Golfer Reviews
Challenging layout - playability terrible
Greens were in poor condition, most all of them had dead spots and areas needing repair. Fairways were same. Lost balls just leaving fairway, due to shaggy conditions.
Surprised
Got a very good price using GolfNow, was happy with the improved course! Played it about two months ago, not good. But there was grass on the fairways and tee boxes. Greens were better, some very bad areas, but overall we enjoyed ourselves. Maybe HOA ownership is going to work for us. Am a resident but not a member yet.
Amazing courses but needs a little TLC
Both courses at the plantation are amazing, but the course conditions are not good at this time. The greens are a mess and the fairways need work and so do the tee boxes. It would serve them well to get somebody in there. That knows what they’re doing to bring that course up to what it could be, and if they do that, it would probably be one of the best courses in the area.
Some greens are are spotty with patches of missing grass and they are very slow
Great for the cost
The coarse was a little over grown off the fairway, sometimes hard to find your ball. Most of the greens were in good condition with just a few that had dead spots and dirt. The layout was great though, tight fairways and lots of fun dog legs and water. Would for sure play it again.
give it a chance
I am sure at one time this was a spectacular course. But as with a majority of courses the greens have become diseased. They are fighting back , but the conditions are worse than I expected. All tee boxed need work , they need to be leveled out , fairways spotty . i just rolled the ball over , the sticking point was the greens, OMG slow greens. At the very least they should cut down what grass is on the greens. some greens should be closed and put in temporary greens. I am hoping to see this course make a comeback.
Long way to go
Beautiful layout.
Greens are horrible, tees in bad shape, uneven with long grass.
Fairways not too bad but lots of bad lies.
Putting green was under construction, driving range was un cut.
The staff is tremendous, very nice and welcoming.
Potential is there but the conditions are just not worth playing there.
Plantation Leesburg
Great course although most greens are in rough shape. The dough’s along the fairways sometimes make it very difficult to find balls due to grass is high in many areas. Good challenging course I enjoy.
Terrible course…much potential
Not much to say…this course has a lot of potential but is not taken care of. The back nine is better…but the fairway is full of weeds. Don’t get me started on the greens.
Terrible Course
Back 9 closed off! Front 9 was being aireated, sand all over the greens !!
Worst course we have ever played !! Should have demanded our money back from Golf Now !!
Very poor in almost everyway
The Greens are terrible from no grass, sand, bare all over almost ... Bad!
The fairways are fairly decent for this time of year
... heat.
Course shape
The front side was closed due to aeration. Had to play the backside twice. The pace of play was brutal because they just rushed everybody out there it seemed like. And they aerated that side and it was not ready for play. The greens were nothing but white sand and wrinkled up like an old carpet so putting was impossible.

I will play again if price is too good to pass up. Other then that, it needs some attention considering there other courses with better prices and conditions close by.
The Webster Foursome
The front nine had two temp greens that was listed on web site. Thirty percent of the greens had a fungus, but you could see that fungus was being treated. Fairways were in great shape. Pro shop and Bar/Grill staff A+. Met some local golfers that treated us kindness & respect. Impressed with Plantation residents on course trimming tress to enhance everyone’s golfing experience. Will play again and recommend.
